Come for a stroll with me...and then we can stop at the flower shop....

Hi Everyone.....seriously....just going for a walk and looking at Boulangerie windows and Magasins de fleur in Paris would be all I need to make me Happy.....so today I ask you to take a stroll with me .....perhaps we can start at the most famous street in Paris......Avenue des Champs Elysess....and make stops at our favorite Bakeries and Flower Shops....

I think it would be a great idea....don't you......Well today I share with you my latest Parisian Painting inspired by one of those gorgeous street florists.....I could sit right here on the curb all day and sip a latte......

I am sharing this with my friends and Paint Party Friday and Creative Everyday......

I hope you enjoyed a little virtual Paris with me....

and now let us remember.......

Today is Remembrance day.....
I would like us all to remember all the wonderful people that have made our lives better with their service...
Remembrance Day is not just about people from wars of the past. It's about men and women of our communities that have made the ultimate sacrifices for the greater good. It is also about appreciation for the work that they do today and every day to ensure that we all enjoy the special life with freedom. May we all take a moment to reflect....The 11th Month, The 11th day, The 11th hour....and this year....the 11th year....

So please wear your poppy and take a moment of silence to remember ......

Happy Creating......Arevoir!!!
Diana

Beautiful flowers, just breathtaking. Yes it's not 11/11/11 over here yet but in a few hours it will be. Not to come again and in fact next year is the last year there will be even numbers all around. 12/12/12 is the last. After that we have 2013 and no more 1/1/1 or 2/2/2/ or 11/11/11, etc. How weird is that. Happy PPF and yes a Day of Remembrance.

Wow, that is a lovely painting! Reminds me a little of the farmers markets in Seattle, Washington. Also a beautiful reminder...the poppy.

wow this is such a gorgeous painting and coupled with your wonderfully evocative descriptions makes me imagine a Paris of the 50s with Audrey Hepburn strolling along and stopping to smell the flowers!

your remembrance poppies are beautiful and i'll be keeping the minute's silence at 11am in honour of tjose who died so we could take our freedom for granted.

Your flower painting is wonderful, makes me wish I really was there having a stroll right now.

A few years ago we were in Scotland, and every village, no matter how small had a memorial to WWI. We began counting the names, and it really hit home, just how enormous the sacrifice had been. Thanks for reminding us of that.

Ooooh Diana! This painting is one of my favorites of yours yet! I LOVE your Paris inspired painting and think the colors are warm and bright - really, really beautiful!
Thank you too for your sweet anniversary congrats - the jar was made with a picture that was backed with paper (so it's clean on both sides) and glued to the bottom of a glass jar with E-600. I then added beads and crystals to the bottom of the jar. . . thanks for asking friend! xoxo Happy PPF ;)

What a beautiful paiting! I love the flowers. We are celebrating Veterans day on 11/11/11. My husband is a veteran. It is his day. I remember when I was little there was a poppy lady that came in every year and we could buy these poppies that were made of paper.

Diana, this is a fabulous painting! And your labelling gives such a European feel to it! Absolutely gorgeous!!

And the poppy dictionary page is wonderfully appropriate. I wondered it you'd stopped that project. I remember loving your earlier pages. (I bought an old fashioned dictionary to try my own hand at that but so far haven't opened it...)

LOVE these!!
