It's HERE!!! my latest book is now available....

Cole loves my new book and I love that he wants me to read it to him every day! He sure is my biggest fan....

Hi Everyone!!! I am so excited.....my latest book is now available and I am thrilled with the way it turned out....It is the first book where I marry my writing with my illustrations. It is a wonderful story that I want to share with you all. I hope that this will become a family favorite.

Remember what it was like when you got to plant your first seeds? This year is the first year that this little boy gets to plant sunflower seeds in his Mom's garden. The book takes you on a journey as he learns to appreciate the things that really didn't seem like gifts and also teaches that hard work and patience can really pay off in the end. This is a wonderful read with children and can help children understand that everything has a special purpose in life. It may also inspire you and your family to spend some quality time together taking care of a garden. There are so many gifts around us and sometimes we just need to take a moment to be reminded of these wonderful gifts. And learning to be grateful for them can change our lives forever.

If you want to pick up a copy of this book you can head here to learn more or click on the photos above....

Have a wonderful night...I am off to finish my next book....

Mixed Media Monday - Marvellous Moustaches - The show must go on!

Hi Everyone....meet the Chanterelle triplets....they were trying to make in on Broadway and would take every opportunity they could...so when the Marvellous Moustaches show came to town they all auditioned and got the leading roles...they hated the moustaches...but they were getting so popular all because of the facial hair in this wonderful Broadway hit...they made the front of all the major papers and this made it all worth it in the end!!! Perhaps their next big roles would be "sans" the facial hair!!!

Happy Monday Everyone!!!

This is a little fun piece I made for MMM this week!!!

The shop is called "Stamped" and will have new releases of my stamp line every few weeks....I hope you enjoy these detailed pieces that will make the cutest cards, scrapbooks, and wrapping paper.....I also want to send out a note to let all the people that use my stamps send me photos of their projects....Every project you send in .....places your name in a Monthly Stamp Giveaway...where I will ship you some new fun art stamps to keep creating with!

Have a wonderful Wednesday!!!

Hi Everyone...This is my finished piece from a series I started in 2009...my wood and pyrography work titled "Transformation"....you are the first people to check it out...
I am so excited to be participating in a historical event at Galerie St. George in Staten Island, New York with this one of a kind piece!!!

This is a rare opportunity for someone to own my first wood and pyrography piece....The event is called “140 hours of Fame” an on-line art auction hosted toatlly via social networking....

Galerie St. George announced its “140 Hours of Fame®”, a unique online art auction designed to introduce emerging artists to a global marketplace. The auction will begin on 5 November 2009 at 12:01 p.m. EST and last 140 hours, through 11 November 2009 at 8:01 p.m. EST.
The 140-hour auction will take place entirely on the world wide web. The gallery has designed an auction system allowing TWITTER® users worldwide to enter their bids online.
Gary Brant, Director, explained, “With the huge popularity of TWITTER®, we wanted to reach out directly to this group of highly sophisticated users. This event will give our participating artists an opportunity to be seen by art buyers and collectors alerted to the event through the power of social networking.”

A new group....and my process for creating....This piece is for the "Three Muses" Challenge this week....theme..."numerology"

Hi Everyone....

I have been so busy with all kinds of projects lately but when you love to draw you take a few minutes each and every day to do something just for fun....so this week...I joined a new group of illustrators on Facebook called Illustrator's Workshop ...they have a group where they share tips and detail their processes for creating....so I thought I would take a moment today to create for the "Three Muses" challenge blog and document my steps for this piece...so here it is....

I start with a pencil rough of my idea....and once I am happy with the concept...I move on to working with ink...I then finish all the details in ink and scan the piece so I can get it ready for some fun in Photoshop....I then create layers to keep adding textures and colours to the piece and this can go on and on....I will talk more about Photoshop in the months to come...I love Adobe products and I use the entire master suite...

This process is very simple....but I am a tactile person and my drawing is always pen to paper....it just feels right....I do also use a wacom tablet for modifications and changes on-line but I still start each and every illustration project with my sketchbook!!!

Have a wonderful day !!!
