I took a little more time today....I worked on this fun lime floral illustration and then made one of my Pistachio Macaron Paper Dolls...I am in love with every single one of my paper dolls!!! they just make me smile!!! Hope you are having an inspiring day!!! this is WOYWW for me!!!

WOYWW - 10 Minute Warm Up - SOC ....Pistachio Laudree Macaron Paper Dolls....

Hi Everyone....What is my workspace today? I am working away on more of my Paper Dolls....doing all of the design work and then tonight I get to cut them out and assemble them for my Shop....

I created these this morning with my 10 Minute Warm Up time....and used the SOC colours for this week....Citron Green & Turquoise.....

so I made some Pistachio Macaron Paper Dolls!! 
Super fun to work on my Daily challenge....and incorporate the colours of SOC all week long.... and get to share these with WOYWW.....

10 Minute Warm Up.....paper dolls....Adventure Time fun!!!!

Hi Everyone....I had a great day catching up with an old friend....and then I realized that I didn't have time for my 10 Minute Warm Up....so I took my 10 Minute Warm Up time and worked with munchkin to create some fun characters from a show he loves to watch lately.....The show is called "Adventure Time" and it airs on Cartoon Network....at first I didn't really like it or the way the characters looked .....but now they have seemed to grow on me....how silly is that!!! I even have the theme song in my head every so often!!! Anyways .....I found the site for our son and noticed some cool paper dolls on the site....so I had to print these off and make them.....there is even a cool oven and pie....

 

 Isn't this adorable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 So see....the 10 Minute Warm Up can be any kind of creative fun!!!

Paint Party Friday....better late than never....some Día de los Muertos

 

Happy Paint Party Friday Everyone....

I have just about had the best week of my entire life....sorry to be so late in posting but you will all understand once I tell you what happened to me this past week....something mind blowing....something I could have never ever dreamed of in my entire life.....

New will come soon!!!!

I was lucky enough to also get a new request from a client for a Dia de los muertos mask for my paper dolls and have so much fun working on this....so I am sharing these super cuties with you all for my PPF submission......I have added these dolls in my Shop too.....

Day of the Dead (Spanish: Día de los Muertos) is a Mexican holiday celebrated throughout Mexico and around the world in other cultures. The holiday focuses on gatherings of family and friends to pray for and remember friends and family members who have died. It is particularly celebrated in Mexico, where it is a national holiday, and all banks are closed. The celebration takes place on November 1, in connection with the Catholic holidays of All Saints' Day and All Souls' Day (November 2). Traditions connected with the holiday include building private altars honoring the deceased using sugar skulls, marigolds, and the favorite foods and beverages of the departed and visiting graves with these as gifts. Here they are!!! my latest Blue Bird Paper Dolls.....what do you think?

Hi Everyone....well here are the finished art dolls....they are so much fun to create and I am working on a whole new series of these....I also painted ornaments all morning and will have to show you them this week!!! they are all about our favorite snowmen....and snow angels......

and the coolest thing that ever happened was last night.....Brad and I went for a walk and what to our wondering eyes did appear.....the Norther lights in red....all dancing across the sky....it was amazing .....we could not keep our eyes off the sky.....the only time I witnessed the Northern lights ....they were green and blue....never red...so this was like a special gift!!!

Working away on a new Bird Paper Doll....here are my early sketches....

Happy Sunday Everyone.....

It is with great pleasure that I report that I am on the mend...thank heavens....and I have been busy as a bee getting ready for an art show coming up in November and also busy with new ideas that pop into my head for my Paper Doll Book....and here you have it....the inspiration for my next Articulated Paper Doll.....I had to add a bird to my collection......I will be finishing the colouring and getting this bird back on my blog in it's finished state Monday.....but in the mean time I wanted to say hello to all of you and share this with my friends over at Sunday Sketches......

New Paper Doll for my book....meet this sweet little Angel Matryoshka...Happy Paint Party Friday!!!

Hi Everyone! I am still fighting off this cough and cold...but spending as much time resting when I can....but this week I had to work on some new designs for my Paper Doll Book coming out in 2012....so I sat in bed all medicated and this little Angel popped in my head.....

I have always loved Russian nesting dolls and even created some years ago when I was lucky enough to get my hands on some wooden blank dolls.....I thought this would be a neat idea to merge my love for Angels with my love for these sweet Matryoshka dolls.....and this Paper Doll came to life.....

In November I have an art show where I will be unveiling these to the public here in my city....and chatting about the book....so I am thrilled to share these with all of you here......This is my 16th doll in this amazing and fun series!!!

I am sharing this with all of my wonderful friends over at Paint Party Friday....a place where you can check out some amazing work.....

Meet the Bunnies....soon to become my latest fully articulated paper doll...

Happy Paint Party Friday Everyone....

I have been fighting a cough and cold for about a week and a half and have not been feeling so inspired to create....but today after a nap and some medicine I managed to worked on my latest paper doll design for my book coming out in 2012 and here they are......These triplets each have "Bunny" as their nickname....and they have a fun show at the local Theater once a week....mainly on Fridays but every once and a while they sell out and have to run a Saturday show too....

They love being Bunnies and they love to perform. They hope to save enough money so they can all travel to Paris next Spring and with the popularity of their show they just might!

Meet Mr. Hoppy......the newest addition to la ménagerie de papier

What would a paper doll collection be without a bunny named Hoppy.....so here he is....meet Hoppy Everyone....he is the newest paper doll in my collection....and he will be in the book!

I feel like a kid in a candy store everyday as I create for my upcoming paper doll book...I guess it doesn't matter how old you get ....if you loved dolls as a child you will love them forever....I still collect dolls and barbie dolls and love to head to the toy store just for me once and a while....it is always good to unleash the child inside us whenever we can.....I happen to unleash my inner child daily!!!!

The Sock Monkeys came to life over night!!!!

You saw my designs yesterday.....and then magically overnight....I awoke to such a clatter....I got out of my bed to see what was the matter....and what to my wandering eyes did appear....a bucket full of sock monkeys!!! Oh dear!!!!

I just can't stop creating these paper dolls...I am fascinated with paper art these days....you can check out my current collection of paper art dolls here....
