Making something out of nothing......and enjoying little things in life.....

Hi Everyone.....

I think it is the little things in life that mean the most....so I thought I would share this story with you today.....

I teach arts and crafts once and a while at our son's School and I always enjoy my time with the class and love the excitement in the children's eyes when they create.....The last time I was at school working on some art with the children they asked me to stay and play soccer with them at recess....as we played we laughed and walked and ran and enjoyed the weather.....we noticed some strange brown grass on the ground....and one of our son's friends picked up a bunch of this stuff and came to me.....

I immediately said that the grass reminds me of a bird's nest and his eyes lit up......and I said....let's get a bag and pick more of this grass and I promised I would take it home and make him a special bird nest.....so I did....and this is what I created.....and I love it and I can hardly wait to go to school today and show him what I made.....I also did a new bird illustration for this nest .....and added some mini eggs inside....

I can't wait to pick up our little munchkin and share this little gift with his friend.....my heart smiles over the little things around us that can make us happy........

Here is the illustration that the nest inspired......

Happy Tuesday Everyone!!! and Happy Creating!!!
