More of my weekly process.....in purple for Creative Tuesdays.....

Every week I have fun with a little creative exercise I like to call...Sketch Workout....here is my fun process.....in case you missed my post about this....

This week the I doodles the sketches above...no rhyme or reason....just a fun little exercise when you need some inspiration....which I love inspiration every week....so this is what I turn to for fun.....

I then took a few pieces and created this super fun bloom......

I added some stems and leaves and created this fun art piece.....I mainly work on this exercise for Art Licensing   surface designs....and it is amazing what a few doodles can turn into.....

I also made a new repeat design so you can see how this design would translate into fabric......

I worked on these piece in shades of purple as inspired by "Creative Tuesday" 's prompt this week which is purple.....you can check out all sorts of amazing art pieces by heading over to Creative Tuesday.....

Illustration Friday - Stir

Meet Lola, Emily and Leanne....these triplets love to stir the pot and cause all sorts of fun and chaos in their Bakery....probably one of the reasons there was always a line up all the way down the block.....

Learn something new every day....

A wise old owl once told me to never stop learning...and that is what I try to do each and every day...it could be something as simple as learning a new word...or something as fun as trying a new art technique...

This year I am focusing on a lot of learning....from web site design to getting into the nitty gritty of Art Licensing I will be doing a lot to grow not only as a person...but as an Illustrator and Designer....

I will keep you all posted as I learn new things and will share my experiences with you along the way....This week I am revamping my website with the design stuff I am learning and it is no easy task....in the meantime I have pointed my sites to my blog and will re-launch my site when it's all ready for public consumption...lol

The first Collection is done...Sweet Guardians by Diana Evans

I can't tell you how much I love being back in the Studio full swing! What a wonderful place to be and being all healthy and back to my old self really makes me appreciate the important things in life...like Health and Family....

I am working away on my new "Sweet Guardians" Collection and this is the first Character holding all sorts of things from a home to a baby to a pet....I am having so much fun creating these for all sorts of projects. I hope these will also become figures of some sort via art Licensing...so I will be keeping my fingers crossed!!!!

CAC Challenge - background and Spring has totally sprung!

Ho can you not be inspired to draw something floral...I am so in love with Spring and the many wonderful things that keep popping up around us...you can't help but smile and take it all in....

This week over at CAC the theme is favorite background....so I created this piece ...I love mixed media backgrounds and playing them up with my illustrations....

I also wanted to share some of the great spring scenes around here with all of my blog friends...so come take a stroll....





Cole is always picking up pine cones...he wants to make things with them...and these are my hyacinths below....I have some of these cut in a vase on my night table...and the scent...oh my...I wish I could share the scent with you all....
