Picking some Lavender in the Garden and showing a few new Commissions on my workspace....

Hello Everyone....

A little early for WOYWW.....but it is a hot one out there and I am in the cool Studio working away and decided to share what's on my workspace. I worked on two watercolour commissions for a very sweet client I have been working with for a while now....These are special pieces that will go to his new clients that have moved to Wasaga Beach.....I am always a fan of beach scenes!!!

I picked some bunches of my lavender for drying this morning before the day got super hot and also packaged up these paintings to head to their new homes.........

then my day in the Studio started and I have so many new ideas brewing in my mind....I have a few more paper dolls to work on for my book coming out this year so I am in full swing with those pieces and my latest picture book will come to life right here on my blog soon....with daily sketches and updates....so be sure to tag along and join me on this journey!!!

Happy Tuesday/Wednesday and Happy Creating Everyone!!!

Deux très belles illustrations... Une douce incitation au repos...

Ta lavande ma chère Diana embaume jusqu'ici. Ma grand-mère en mettait dans des sachets de tissus et les plaçait dans les armoire pour éloigner les mîtes.

Le miel à la lavande... hum!!! As-tu goûté ?

Gros bisous à toi...

I love beach scenes too - and would love to live by the sea (we are only 4 miles away, but rarely actually get there!). Lavender is my favourite scent - and you have so much in your garden. The first thing I do when we finally move over to the farmhouse is plant lavender. Perhaps I could get some in pots now? Happy WOYWW. Ali x #61

Diana, I have to admit, I am a little jealous of your lavender. Never had any luck growing it.

***sigh***

I didn't have much I could show this week, so went with
the WOYWW--Daughter Edition!

Hi Diana,

I do love your commission paintings, they both look like a relaxing place to be sitting on the chairs at the beach. Also adore your bunch of lavender and know how heavenly the fragrance will be.
Mint chocolate chip icecream is one of my favourites and how sweet your paper doll is.

Hope you are enjoying the week
Hugs
Carolyn

Apologies for being so late visiting this week...but I'm here now!
Adore your paintings ~ they just invite you to take a seat and relax a while.
I picked a huge bunch of lavender myself yesterday...the smell was wonderful.

Have a great weekend ~ enjoy!
