Paint Party Friday on a Saturday.....inspired by my Zinnias!!!!

I remember growing up as a child and seeing these blooms in my Mom's garden every year. She used to have a super huge vegetable garden and would put in tons of Zinnias to have cut flowers.....I do this in my Vegetable Garden each and every year now too.....and love seeing these beautiful flowers in all sorts of colours and shapes....they are such happy flowers!!!

Paint Party Friday....10 Minute Sketch turns into this gorgeous Parisian Zinnia....Happiness!

Hi Everyone...Happy Friday.....this weekend is huge for me and I hope with all my heart something amazing happens for me!!! I will fill you all in once I know more....but this weekend with either make or break me!!!

Today I am sharing a Parisian Zinnia piece in ink and watercolour....I love these flowers....they remind me so much of my Mom and how she used to have tons of these amazing blooms in rows all along her vegetable garden....She always brought me some seeds and once I moved into our own place...I grew these in my vegetable garden every single year....except this year...and I am so missing these!!!

I love these also because they last forever and a day in a vase....next year for sure!!

Have you ever made a block print?

Hi Everyone....I have created all sorts of things....including art stamps....but never ever made art prints using blocks...so the other day when I was out and about I picked up this kit to make my first ever block print....the only thing is I am stumped as to what I want to create...so I am hoping that it will come to me....wish me luck!!!

In the mean time...I share with you one of my favorite flowers....the Zinnia...I grow these in our vegetable garden for cut flowers....to the left is the single bloom and below I have a surface design I started.....

Arty Girlz Challenge - "Blog Inspiration"

Hi Everyone...

This week's prompt on the Arty Girlz Challenge Blog is "Blog Inspiration"
I was so inspired by the wonderful art of Elsa Mora....She is an amazing artist and her specialty blog on "Papercutting" has inspired my new pieces ....I create watercolour and ink paintings then work on my hand cutting to add to each piece...I love that changing the background to each piece changes the whole look...This piece is titled "Zinnia Dreams" I also love to garden and add tons of Zinnia's along the edges of my vegetable garden....and they are such an inspiration....
