Yummy Sketch of the Day - Valentine's Day Chocolate Covered Strawberries, a cute dress and my recently Published work....

Hi Everyone....

What a wonderful day ......my husband Brad picked up a package for me at the post office today and to my surprise it was my latest published work!!!!

I illustrated a short story for Crow Toes Quarterly, a children's literature magazine based out of British Columbia. The story is titled "How the Stepmother got ugly" a fairy tale with a dark ending....it was a fun project.

I always feel like a kid in the candy store when I see my work Published...each and every time it is very exciting no matter what the project is........

I have a special box where I keep copies of all of my published work for our son...I hope he can look at it as he grows up and appreciates my art....

and for the "Yummy Sketch of the Day" I feature some chocolate dipped Valentine's Day Strawberries...(with hearts) yummm.... and I also added my second Valentine's Day dress....these are so fun to sketch each and every day and I hope they bring a smile to your face and make your day brighter....

Cheers,
Diana

Yummy Sketch of the Day - Valentine's Day Cookies and some other fun Valentine's stuff...

Oh wow...the month of reds, pinks and LOVE.....

I know everyone thinks Valentine's Day can be so commercial but I love everything about it....the reds and pinks and the wonderful store displays...and who doesn't love a holiday that revolves around chocolate....

It also lets me go wild with some fun and cheerful sketches....so up until February 14th I will be featuring lots of pink and red...

Today I am featuring some Valentine's Day cookies for all of you to enjoy and share with your friends and loved ones....I also started a whole series of Valentine's Day dress designs....oh so cute .....so here is the first...

I also found this link where you can make your own candy hearts with messages....then save them , send them , print them or design a special card with all the letters....
I made a few for me....yumm!
Have a wonderful night...
Cheers,
Diana
