Who says two artists can't work on something together?

The best days in the world are the days I spend with our son painting and creating...I think it is so much fun to see what he comes up with .....As many of you know...I love love love Paris....and one day while I was working away...Cole wanted to draw something for Mommy and Daddy....so I gave him some paper and some crayons...and to my surprise he drew this scene....and my heart melted....

ok firstly...you have to know that I have a super cool collection of Eiffel Towers...and Cole knows all about Paris....so when he drew this and said..."this is me, you and Daddy in Paris" I fell over....how cute!!!!

Today Cole and I embarked on some new art....we are now working on watercolours together...he does all of the main colours in the background and I add water droplets after the piece is dry to see what happens...and here is the unveiling of our first piece.....

Happy 4th Birthday Cole!!! You are amazing my sweet little Pumpkin Pie!!!

Today is Cole's 4th Birthday!!! He is such a wonderful child...he is the reason I get inspired to work each and everyday on my picture books and my projects. He changed my life in so many wonderful ways and I am ever so grateful to be his Mommy!!!

He is my biggest fan and I love it when he says things like..."When you come back, I'm going to give you a big hug and a kiss."

He makes my heart grow each and every day and seeing him grow up is truly a wonderful gift...and I am so blessed to have him as my little boy!!!

The next few days will be all about Cole so I promise to visit you all when I get a chance...we have so many fun things we need to do....and I will have plenty of photos to tell you all about them!!!!

I love you all day long....

Three Muses Challenge - Quote - create art based on a quote.....

Hi Everyone....This week's challenge over at the Three Muses Blog was a lot of fun...first I had to pick a quote and then I had to be inspired by it....so here is my quote....

I think this really made me think about life and success and what it means to me...One of the greatest successes for me was and is becoming a Mom...I think Motherhood was a pivotal point in my life where I started to weigh out things and really focus on what is important for me and my family....It also made me think about what my life means and would be left behind in this world ...so that people would know I was here.....

and that is when I decided to pursue my art full time...so I could be home with my child and create each and every day.....It is also why I started to write and illustrate children's books....because for years to come children would be able to read and enjoy my art.....it is very fulfilling and this is what success means to me....A lot of you may not know this...but I left the world of Technology and Business (15 years to be exact) ...the proverbial rat race....with a great income to enjoy far more benefits and far more successes all in my home sweet home.... so the next time you look at your lives...think about success and really define it ...it may change the direction your life is in and bring you some new focus....after all isn't life too short? So my two pieces for this week's challenge represent Motherhood and art....my passions...my successes...

My cute Little Angel...This is after bath time ...he wanted to paint with Mommy...and the results are below....I love each and every one of his paintings....and seeing him each and every day as he grows into a little man....that makes me feel successful.....

Art Lessons....meet my new instructor....Cole's take on "windows" for 3 muses....

how could I say no painting to this cute face...I dropped my project and got Cole everything he needed and then I just watched as he created another wonderful piece.....

Hi Everyone....I have been so busy these last few weeks...but when Cole came to me and asked if he could paint today , my heart was so excited that he loves art as much as I do...and he started his career early....I got his new painting apron out and some french watercolour paper and my finest liquid watercolour paints....and I let him have fun with it....I had to bite my tongue...every time he added too much water I wanted to say something...but I didn't....I let him create his own way...and he always makes me smile with each piece he creates....

I know we teach our children ...but everytime Cole paints ...and I see his passion for it I learn from him.....

I hope you enjoy his piece and I hope you all have a wonderful day....take a moment to just breathe and take life in....

Mixed Media Monday - Helping Hands - My son Cole and his latest watercolour and ink pieces....and my Mother's Day Cake from Cole....

Hi Everyone...Cole and I spent Mother's day enjoying special treats and quality time together....he painted with my special inks and watercolours and I ate some cake....The top piece was looking pretty scary at first but it is my favorite painting right now....the vivid colours and the darkness looks pretty neat...and then the metallic inks really add some depth...I just ask Cole what colours he wants and I squeeze them out into his pallet....and he goes wild....I really enjoy watching him create..........

He always looks so serious when he paints.....

and also very serious when there's cake to be eaten!!! lol Maybe Cole will be in some Exhibitions...wouldn't that be wonderful!!!

Cole's Latest Works of Art! I am running out of frames....

This morning he wanted to work with Blue and yellow....I love that he tells me what colours he want to use...so much fun to see him learn each and every day....

This is the purple and orange piece he worked on yesterday....

He uses a lot of water when he paints but when the pieces dry I am blown away....

Hi Everyone...I am so proud of Cole's fine paintings...he is doing a wonderful job...and I have framed all of his fine art pieces....he truly amazes me with his colour choices...

and all at 2 and a half years old....wonderful work son!!!

More Creative Days with Cole...this is one of my favorites...

Hi Everyone....some of my favorite special moments are the ones where I get to create with our son Cole...he loves to paint and every day he tells me "Mommy, Cole wants to paint"....how could I say not now....with some of the wonderful work he has been putting out...I decided to get him some fine french watercolour paper and now he has full use of all my good watercolour paints....

He loves it when he gets to use Mommy's Paint....and I am so very proud of him.....The finished piece is framed below....

My Calendar Boy and some Autumnal Splendor....

Hi Everyone....

For the last two years I carved out a pumpkin for Cole ....his first photo was submitted in a contest last year!

Cole won and was our calendar boy for the month of October....this year in 2008!!!

He is so sweet.....

Then the second year, 2007 I got a bigger pumpkin for him to get into...

Wish me luck finding a bigger pumpkin for this year!!!!
