Illustration Friday - Wise....

Hi Everyone...

What a fun challenge this week....I added a few pieces I did for an Ad Campaign for Stella Artois Beer...

I think they fit the theme this week as both women were "WISE" enough to know a good thing when they see it....

My whole pitch was to offer up various takes on very popular art and have a fun contest...

The winner for example might be on a plane to Paris to enjoy a one week stay and visit the Louvre and see the actual Mona Lisa....

Arty Girlz Challenge #51 - Home Inspiration

Hi Everyone...

What a fun challenge....This week on the Arty Girlz Challenge Blog you take inspiration from something in your Home and create something new....I just finished watercoloring my 2 special Mona Lisas....

I created these inspired by the wonderful hand stitched art my Grandmother gave me at my Bridal Shower over 9 years ago...It hangs in our home and inspires me daily....

Here is my take on the theme...you know I had to add some cupcakes to the mix...lol

One of the original mini paintings is available framed in my etsy shop. This would be great on a desk...

I also added a digital version I created last week...

Mini Paintings - Inspired by some of my favorite famous paintings....

Hi Everyone...

On our vacation I had thought about messing around with some mini-paintings....

and you know I had to incorporate cupcakes in them some how...lol

So here are the ink sketches...I will be painting these and posting them in colour....






These are a tribute to some of my all time favorites.....

• Picasso - "Woman with Book" in my case it is "Woman with cupcake"
• Grant Wood - "American Gothic" in my case they pierced a cupcake with the fork
• Leonardo Da Vinci - "Mona Lisa" in my case I created 2....she is one of my favorites....she is waiting to eat her cupcake...
• Rene Magritte - "Son of Man" I always picture a cupcake instead of the green apple on this one...
• Edward Munch - "The Scream" ...something I always do when I see a great cupcake...

Well I hope these brought a smile to your day....
