Paint Party Friday.....Put on your Favorite Dress.....

Hi Everyone....

There is nothing sweeter than the cute dresses from days gone by.....I love the smiles and happiness they bring and every one back in the day wore their best dresses each and every day.....I think it would be pretty amazing to step back in time when women were always decked out .....and men were always charming....

I am on another one of my retro fashion modes and am having so much fun painting these ladies with a nod to days gone by....and special dresses that were simply worn even to the grocery store....what is the last thing you wore to the Grocery Store?

You know you love putting on your favorite dress....so why not wear it....stop saving it for that special occasion when everyday is a special occasion......

I'm back in the studio....with a ton of ideas....

I was taking a mini vacation from the studio....but now I am back with full force...and I have so many ideas that have been inspired from my little vacation!!! I think we all need to just take some time to relax and let our creativity bud again!!!

Here are some dresses made with scraps.....The original will be a watercolour for the Monthly dress challenge so when it is complete I will show you it!!!

Mixed Media Monday and my August Dress up.....

Oh what fun!!! I was working on my dress for August Dress up....and then I saw that the theme this week on Mixed Media Monday is "embellish it" so I thought my dress would be perfect!!!

I had so much fun with this month's dress...it is all dimensional and filled with fun embellishments!!!

A dress every month...what a fun project...and so many yummy things .....

I was visiting Nan over at Nan's Niche and found out about this fun challenge on a site called Alice and Camilla.....there is an ongoing monthly Dress Up challenge and the dresses are all so wonderful. I am late to the party this year....but I know I will catch up...because these mini projects are so much fun to do....

I create a watercolour and ink painted dress for this challenge!!!

I think one of these watercolour dresses would look super cute in a nice frame ...so I think I will be making more of these.....

I also am so happy with my gardens this year....what a perfect summer....Lots of fun and the work is always worth it ....

and I just had to share the fun dinner I made lastnight....a homemade bacon, onion, three cheese and green olive pizza....and then we swam more and enjoyed some chocolate lattes with a fun dessert I will have to share with you all...

I love summer and all the local great food that we can grow and shop for!!!
