Just created a few glitter eyelash yarn Spring wreaths.....love these!

This one is for my Studio....it included my personal branding....love this!!!!

Inspired by a tutorial on Pinterest....I created my own version of a couple of Spring wreaths.....I love the way these look and they just scream Spring to me.....

for my wreaths I used the green styrofoam wreaths....one in 12 inches and one in 9 inches....for the large one I used 2 rolls of Martha Stewart Glitter Eyelash yarn measuring 39 yards each and 1 roll for the smaller wreath.....I then created some paper flowers with mini pom pom centers that I added with nail head pins...you can also use pearl head pins for added flair......I love the pin on flowers because I can change them out as I feel.....I also think I will seasonally add some of my fun Paper Dolls to these wreaths....for some fun!!!

The process...is super simple and the project is completed in no time.... Just tie off the start of the yarn around the wreath base....and just keep rolling it around....till you fill in the whole wreath......

make some paper flowers....or use purchased flowers....paper silk....fabric...you name it....

and voila.....a super sweet fun wreath that you can change up anytime you feel like it......

you can even make small ones and use them around candles....for special dinner parties....love the way these glitter and sparkle in the light......

Off to work on some more ideas that are brewing in my head....

Monday I am back at my cake decorating glass....so wish me luck and I will see you all back in the Studio this afternoon......

Happy Monday and Happy Creating Everyone!!!!

Wow, that yarn is so grass-like. They are so wonderful.
I used to use wreaths that were made of hay/straw and felt objects/images for different seasons and occasions. For fall I had a felt pumpkin/jack-o-lantern that I sewed and pinned to the wreath. Easter, I had plastic canvas needlepoint eggs. Loads of fun.

I so love these. Such a simple yet great idea. And such an eye candy after describing the complicated technique of European perforated egg shells!

Hi Diana,

Your Spring wreaths are so beautiful and will be lovely for Easter and love that you made them.
Enjoy your cake decorating class.
I have been enjoying watching two cake decorating shows here, Planet Cake ( Australia) and Choccywoccydoodah (Brighton). They are so talented and if you get the chance to see them, they are fun shows.

Happy week
Hugs
Carolyn
