Happy Halloween Everyone!

What a fabulous day!!! I just got my copies of Crow Toes Quarterly. It is a children's Literature Magazine based out of British Columbia.

I have 2 illustrations in the Fall 2007 Issue....It's one thing to see the original sketch and the coloured illustration...but seeing it published really makes it magical. You can click on the thumbnails above to check out the full illustrations.

Knowing that many wonderful children who read and subscribe to the magazine will see my work and smile, makes it such a dream for me. My passion is drawing and I love it!

Illustrations - Cookbook subsections complete!

I completed the 7 sections of the Corporate cookbook Project...All the proceeds go to charity, so I am very pleased with this work and the cause. I hope that the Company sells many wonderful cookbooks and that all my illustrations inspire people to buy one and to try some recipes....so many fun and cute characters!!!

I also worked on a special project for a Christmas card today and it was a great experience...great client and great sense of humour....

Illustration - Recipe Book Cover...what fun!

There is a company that makes an annual recipe book. The recipes are all submitted by Employees. I had so much fun this morning finishing the recipe book cover samples...I had no idea what I would come up with then it came to me...some funky characters ....cute and funny....and some great bright colour!

Friday already!

Wow...the weeks just seem to be flying by....

I am working on my illustrations for the book right now. So far I have sketched the Book cover in ink...I spent a few weeks working on the character and his various moods...that was hard work! I just got today's notice about the IF theme...this week's theme is "Grow" ....so I can't wait to see what I come up with....I love to collaborate with all my friends and see what their take on the topic would be....it is fun and makes for a nice brainstorming session....

Well I have a Birthday Party to attend this weekend so I am off to make a special card!

Busy, busy, busy....but still time for a quickie!

I had the greatest long weekend...away from the studio...eating with family and friends...but I still managed to bring along my sketch book....only this time I never had any time to draw....so this week...I rushed today...and here is my ninja fast work....This week the theme is "open" and being in the midst of October...I had to put my own crazy spin on it....my work is titled..."Open for Business"....but not sure anyone can afford to buy what he is selling...lol
