Theme Thursday - 2 x 4 - my take...Sunday Best
Every year Mathilda's Mom would find a new fun hat for Easter Sunday....and Mathilda loved her new hats....they were always fun and very artsy....
but this year was special...this year she helped create her Sunday hat and added all of the fun things she did with her family as a tradition during Easter...
The most important addition to her hat this year was a hand sewn cross that was inside her hat....she wanted it close to her....
No one knew about it but her...and that made it even more special....
Sometimes we may not show our faith openly...but as long as we are aware of it...that makes it a true gift....
Have a wonderful Thursday everyone!!!
Hugs
Diana

Her hat is very beautiful and very special! And the story about her is delightful!
The strains of "Waltzing Matilda" came to mind immediately!

Soooooo sweet. Oh, I remember as a child always getting a new Easter hat! That was back in the day when women had to wear a hat to Mass. Happy memories. **kisskiss** Deb

Mathilda is very special, Diana. I love your parable.
So sweet. This brings me back to my childhood on Easter Sunday when my mom elaborately dressed me up complete with a big floppy hat! Thank you for reminding me of that memory.
Great artwork Diana!
