It is with great sadness that I post my last drawing in the ICU...My Father-in-Law fought as long and hard as he could...but today at 6pm he passed away....
We were all with him and by his side during it all...we love him dearly and he will be greatly missed.....
I started this illustration in the ICU waiting room...it was Cole asking Dad's Guardian Angel for help...
We know that he is in a better place now and not suffering anymore...we also feel that he is with us in all we do and will always think of you dear Dad...
May you pray for us in Heaven and watch over us...

Oh Diana, I am so so so sorry. I had a feeling about this situation tonite, that he may have passed on. I know you are all so sad. I am glad that you believe he is in a better place and out of suffering. I am sorry for your loss, though.

Diana, I am so sorry for your loss. Having lost my mom and dad, I know the pain that you and your family are in. It takes quite a while, but you come out the other side and are filled with all the loving memories of that dear soul. Your illustration is perfect and I think that his guardian angel did exactly what was needed at this point. You are right, that his suffering is over and he is in a better place. I am very sad when I think about these last few months...our son losing his Great Grandfather and now his Grandfather....it is a very difficult time but I truly believe that God only puts us through things we can handle...and I have so many angels looking out for me....

One of the hardest things yet most beautiful things I've ever gone through in my life was holding my father's hand and telling him it's ok as he passed. You just know that they are going to be ok and going somewhere spectacular. I feel his presence with me often. Your Angels certainly evoke that feeling, and give us hope. And the last one you sketched with Cole is amazingly beautiful. I am so sorry for your loss Diana. You have been in my thoughts and prayers everyday.
