Love will keep us together....and one Cardinal rule....

I have been working on a more bird pieces....this one is titled "love will keep us together"

It will be sad when all the birds leave for the winter....but there are some that will stick around and look amazing against the white snow here .... like the beautiful Cardinals that will feed in our backyard and be like bright red lights against the new fallen snow....

The first piece is a mixed media piece...and the Cardinal is one of my ink and watercolour pieces....

I am submitting these to Three Muses this week....theme...things with wings...

My Vintage Spin on some free Halloween Tags....

I was having more fun with my October Freebies...and have these fun tags to feature today....I created these with some really old illustrations I did in my early days....Vintage to me and they do look a little vintage in style too....

I printed them on heavy weight matte paper and cut them out and added some fun ribbon.....and voila...some fun tags to add to some cool packages...You can click on the last pic and head over to my flicker page and download these for your personal use!!!

The Victorian Lady....which one do you prefer?

I did this piece and made it two ways ....She is a mysterious Victorian Woman...I don't know much about her....but I will find out....maybe I can hire an investigator....

The Three Muses want something Victorian so the first thing that always comes to mind for me is these amazing well dressed women who always had wonderful dresses and wonderful jewelry and wonderful hair!!!

I played with it two ways... I am partial to the top piece with my fun background work....

Even the Fembots like Zetti Land....

I just had to make these ladies into some Zetti Robots....they are very helpful and fun!!! They are my submission to Three Muses this week....them "World of Zetti"

The 5 minute sketch...an ice cream cart and my latest fabric design.....

As you can see I have ice cream on the brain....this week I almost missed out on working on the Three Muses challenge...

I am swamped...I have so much work and so little time...so I took a 5 minute break to participate in the "Wheel" challenge...and the only thing I got down was this ice cream cart....I think it goes perfect with my latest fabric design.....

and I just love ice cream...so here is my submission!!!

My flying carpet stops in New York....Freedom be Mine....

The Three Muses have a fun challenge this week....Flying Carpet Travels...well I was lost for this one...so I took my flying carpet ride to New York....to be reminded of Freedom by this lovely Lady Liberty....a gift from France...and a wonderful one at that!!!

You can get "rusty" if you don't get any sleep!!!

Everyday I say that I will try to get to bed early...and every night I get into my work and before I know it...it's like 2:00 in the morning....so I think this piece is a cute little reminder that it is wise to get to bed before midnight once and a while...

I created this as inspired by the Three Muses this week....I didn't use anything rusty...but I love these rusty colours...and I used one of my original stamp designs. This owl is one of my favorite stamps.

Three Muses Challenge....Buttons and bows

When I heard the theme over at the Three Muses Challenge blog.....I immediately thought about pretty flower buttons...and then instead of leaves I thought they would need nice green bows for their foliage...amazing how the mind works.....

Three Muses Challenge - I need more of this...

When it rains it pours...a great phrase for this wonderful week filled with several projects that I have on the go...so this theme is fitting for me this week...since I need more of this!!!

Three Muses celebrate 1 year!!!

Boy you know time sure flies when you're having fun and it has been a great year over at the Three Muses Challenge blog....Happy Blogoversary everyone!!!

Three Muses Challenge - Relationships

When I saw the theme over at the Three Muses for this week....I immediately thought about the relationship between a Mother and her child...there is so much to see all over again and seeing it through a child's new fresh eyes is magic....

it also reminds me to be grateful each and every day....

So here is a piece ...I call it "The discovery" a Mom and her son find a patch of sunflowers and they enjoy the sights and scenery together....making a memory that will last forever....

This week over at Three Muses....the challenge is "Stars" and immediately I thought of Marilyn Monroe...one of my favorite stars....she is and will always be an icon...

This is a watercolour painting I did as a tribute to her and is sold and currently residing in The United Kingdom....what fun!!!

Three Muses....My pieces as inspired by this music....

This week over at the Three Muses Challenge we are to get some inspiration from music...so I added this song above as it was the inspiration for these two mini mixed media pieces...I even used some burning on the art pieces I created for more vintage impact........I do love Paris in the Springtime...and in the Summer and Fall and winter too...

Any season is bliss there..... I also added some art Cole and I created today....we made Birds from our hands and he was so proud!!!

Three Muses Challenge - Bye Bye Blackbird

Who says blackbirds can't fall in love...

It was the Spring of 2010 and two blackbirds found each other and it was love at first sight. They planned a wonderful Spring and Summer together...and the blooms and the warm air made it magical....

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!!! my Three Muses challenge piece....Incognito....

Happy St. Patrick's Day Everyone!!!

Joey was really wise...but he never told anyone who he was...he was always dressing up in costumes...when it came time to graduate, he came with his wise old owl costume...his identity was concealed for his entire education....hmmmmmmmmmmm.... makes you wonder...who was this Joey guy? was his name Joey or not? makes you wonder....we better get Paul Williams from the Young & the Restless to get this guy all checked out.....After the formal we should all hook up for some Green Beverages...and green cupcakes....

How many of you head out incognito? once and a while I like to go out incognito and pretend I am a star that needs to get away from the paparazzi.......

I have been busy as a bee this week with some really fun projects and also trying to stock up my shop...I have some cool new things that I will show once I get them listed...

Three Muses Challenge "Oh Man" and Cole with his fun lunch today...

Hi Everyone....

I have been doing some Spring cleaning so I have been busy like a bee...but wanted to create a quick mixed media piece for this week's prompt on Three Muses..."oh Man"....so I was inspired by the first time I saw Brad with our little bundle of joy feeding him ....my first thought was "oh man...how sweet is this"

Then I had to add Cole with his cute little lunch ....I was feeling a bit creative today....Gotta create even when I am busy with some Spring cleaning....

Three Muses Challenge - Theme "Nature"

Hi Everyone....

I am really enjoy watching the Winter Olympics....we won another Gold today and our Team Canada hockey team scored a wonderful game tonight....I always dream when the Olympics are on....I think I am inspired to take up snowboarding now....it looks like so much fun!!

Tonight I created this piece as inspired by the prompt on Three Muses Challenge blog....the theme is Nature and I created a special Mother Nature...a piece with several Mother Nature's as she is one busy lady....all over the globe....

Three Muses Challenge - "Keys"

Hi Everyone....this week over at the Three Muses blog...the challenge prompt is "Keys" and the first thing that popped into my head was the line..."Key to my heart"

So when I sat down tonight to do a little illustration ...this is what came to life...I think it is all about love and how sometimes even though we may have the keys to some one's heart ....love can turn our world upside down...and over again....and it is so much fun to enjoy each and every moment of it.....

Three Muses Challenge - "In your dreams"

Hi Everyone....

Firstly I would like us all to remember all the wonderful people that have made our lives better with their service...today is Remembrance Day here in Canada and Remembrance Day is not just about people from wars of the past. It's about men and women of our communities that have made the ultimate sacrifices for the greater good. It is also about appreciation for the work that they do today and every day to ensure that we all enjoy the special life we all have in Canada. May we all take a moment to reflect....

Secondly, I have created a very quick piece for the Three Muses Challenge this week...the theme is "In your dreams" and the first thing that popped into my head was three little sisters who love to dream about Christmas....after all, in your dreams...it can be Christmas everyday....I also have a piece from the past that is perfect for this theme ....you can check it out here....
