This has been one busy week.....but I can never turn away any of my amazing clients...so I had to share a little project I worked on for this cute lady bug Birthday Party...I love working on custom cupcake toppers!

Paint Party Friday and Illustration Friday - Who doesn't love a sock monkey......I do!!!

I am working on some fun Watercolour Commissions this week...but took a little break to create for PPF this week...and my Client for this fun piece was my little son Cole...I asked him what he would like Mommy to paint when he went to bed and he was so sweet....he handed me his Sock Monkey Friend....Sparky ( whom he always has with him) and said Mommy take him and paint me a picture of him....so I did this and will show Cole over Breakfast before school today....I hope he loves this painting and I hope you all love it too....to see more amazing paintings pop by Paint Party Friday.....

and I just created this illustration this morning ....another piece inspired by Cole and his Sock Monkey Sparky for Illustration Friday this week....the theme is "Asleep" and I love watching him sleep all safe and sound....

Busy in the Studio with beach inspired Commissions and check out the cute visitor in our yard.....

This week I started my all natural detox....and it has been so hard...I am only drinking pure clear juices....water with lemon and lime and eating a few fruits to help keep me standing....NOTE: do not watch Foodnetwork if you are fasting!!! lol

Anyway I have been busy with some fun projects in the Studio...I just finished off three new Commissions that are heading to Wasaga Beach....and these were so much fun to do and since it has been raining these beach scenes brightened my day........

I also had a sweet little visitor in our backyard ....this adorable woodpecker was by looking for some snacks after the rain....too bad I couldn't get a closer shot....he or she was amazing!!!

Custom little girl holding her bunny.......Part Deux

A few weeks ago I created this little mini painting of a wee little girl holding her rabbit....inspired by a vintage card ......and it sold right away....


then the other day one of my Etsy Clients saw the sold painting and asked for a custom one to be created in the same fashion....but she wanted the girl's hair to be longer and darker





so this is what I came up with....and the original is heading to her new home....and I have made prints of both of these in my Etsy Shop...I love getting notes from new clients and I always love to make custom pieces....

I call the the first one Vintage Baby Girl and the second one Vintage Big Sister......

Having so much fun with custom art....

I love creating some fun custom art....so I thought I would share this piece I made for a friend of mine ....he always called his cubical a veal stall and we laughed so hard every time he complained about it.........and he always says that when I open up a cupcake bakery he will be hired as the Master Cupcake Tester.....and his work would be measured by weight...if he was losing weight he would be slacking off on the job....So here he is working on some problems at the office and dreaming of becoming the "Cupcake Tester".........

Custom Commission....Home Sweet Home.....with a view.....

I always love working on Commissions....I just finished this special custom watercolour for one of my Clients and I think they will be happy with this piece.....

What a nice place to live...and look out at the water....I think there would be a lot of inspiration in this backyard.....

I think I am off to work in the Studio on some wood and pyrography pieces...I have an idea that popped into my head while I was sleeping last night....will find out how it converts from a dream to reality.....

New Custom Piece....Cottage Art ....the Moose.....

Hi Everyone....I have been a busy little bee working on all kinds of fun custom work....today I am sharing with you a piece I did on a slice of wood...this is a moose that will be heading to a cottage up North....it is done with my pyrography tools and is in a rustic style....This is my Sunday Sketch piece...if it's ok that I sketched with a wood burning tool.......

Well I am taking the day off to enjoy some time with family.....so back to the Studio bright and early tomorrow!!!

Who is watching over your kitchen?

I was so thrilled when a special client contacted me about working on a custom commissioned wood and pyrography piece....She wanted the Patron Saint of Kitchens to watch over her and her kitchen....so I was thrilled to research this Saint....

His name is San Pascual ......San Pascual - is the patron Saint of  of cooks, especially New Mexican cooking, the kitchen and domestic animals ( and finding lost animals).

He was a Franciscan who happily worked in the kitchen.


Here is my rough sketch that turned into the final wood canvas....I think I need one in my kitchen too.....

I always love when people contact me to create something unique for them....

The coolest ring bearer pillow ever....what great memories...now available on-line! and my submission to Theme Thursday - hats or crowns..

Hi Everyone...I am always adding new things to my Custom Stuff Shop...and this time I looked back at the past and thought I would offer up something super special and one of a kind to the new Brides out there. I handcraft custom one of a kind pieces for Weddings and am now offering this service on-line to anyone....not just locally....this piece above is my pillow...hard to imagine we were married almost 11 years ago...so I did a little photo shoot with my rings tied to it for my shop...( I also love my rings...Brad had them designed especially for me...isn't he the sweetest)

I love this piece and know that many new Brides would love one too....

Why do things like everyone else...when you can have a special memento from your Special Wedding Day. This is a ring pillow that is a wooden canvas that is customized by me...with your Names and Date....it is something special that will be a conversational piece for years to come...This piece is created with Pyrography and burnt into the wood as a symbol of love and permanence.

You can use this for the ring bearer and then add it as a decoration at the Reception site...and ultimately in your home to remember the day that started it all....

I am also submitting this piece to Theme Thursday...theme "Hats or Crowns" since I wore the coolest crown of jewels at our Wedding.....
