Day 42,43, 44,....some new Mini Paintings for my Etsy Shop

I am having a blast with these mini watercolor paintings....These are so portable that I take them everywhere I go...I work with ink and get the sketch done then add color with vibrant watercolor paint...and a little glitz and glam with some sparkle...I really enjoy creating these and I hope they bring a smile to your day...

Mini-Vacation at the cottage....and my Mixed Media Monday submission for places....

Hi Everyone...

What a wonderful weekend....we headed away for a long weekend...we left Friday and just got back late Sunday night....It was nice to get away with some wonderful friends.

We have a family cottage up in Huntsville and we love escaping to a place where the stars are like glitter at night and the peacefulness is so amazing....well until you hear the boats that is....

Cole is just like his Daddy...he loves his Daddy's boat and as soon as he wakes up he says..."Mommy, Daddy big Boat"...it's so cute to see him love some of the same things Brad loves...

what a smile..he melts my heart each and every day...

Here is the view from the cottage....my favorite time of year here besides summer time is the fall when all the leaves turn into these wonderful colours...just amazing...

a view of the lake from the boat.... and my submission to Mixed Media Monday this week...The theme is places and what better place to post then one of the pieces I made up in Northern Canada....the scenery is amazing. This is a ink, pencil and watercolour painting I did a while back...it was a gift for my husband who showed me some amazing places up North....

Day 41 of 365....yummy sundae for you!

I am still feeling under the weather...but managed to go outside to play a bit with Cole...he helped me pull some weeds in our vegetable garden...

I almost forgot to post one of my mini watercolour paintings...this one is a mint ice cream sundae with chocolate sauce and whip cream and of course a cherry on top....

I add mini paintings to my Etsy Shop each week now...they seem to be a hit and are travelling all over the world...what fun! You can click on this one to head over there....

Rough client sketch - Day 40 of my 365 day Creative Exercise....

Thought I would start posting some rough client sketches whenever I get a chance....

This one was for a children's book...the sheep are dreaming about being shepherds....

I am feeling a bit under the weather today and my energy levels are at an all time low....but I find that I can still draw in bed...

Custom Canvas for Cole...Arty Girlz Submission for "hint of pink" the flower in the mongoose's hair and the second piece's balloon....

On Cole's First Birthday last year I started a new tradition...to create a special canvas for him on each Birthday....

The second photo below is his first Birthday canvas....I get commissioned to work on these with clients and it's fun to work on these for Cole...

This year I created a special one incorporating all of his most favorite things....

Minnie his dog, the mongoose, a monkey, cake, balloons, the monster truck he carries everywhere.... and cake of course....oh yeah and hats...he is addicted to hats...lol....

I will finish all the details of this piece and also use it in designing the Birthday invites....

Just for fun I created an illustration for a submission to "Just one more Book!!" I heard about from my friend Candace...who hear about it from Alicia....and so on and so on...their work is fab!

I did this in pen and ink then coloured it digitally....

what a wonderful Thursday...today's mail brought some wonderful treats...

Heather Robinson sent me this beautiful Angel ATC...the details and colours are amazing...you have to pop by her blog and say hello....she is so talented and I love her work...

I participate in weekly challenges on the Arty Girlz Challenge blog and then was pleasantly surprised that I won these amazing Paris Stamps...what fun! and j'adore all things Paris!

I have a few art projects on the go right now...but today I am posting a photo of one of my creations....these are yummy chocolate brownie cupcakes with peanuts on top and a peanut butter middle...then half of them have a drizzle of chocolate ganache...yummmmmmmmmmm

Summer time heat....gotta love it!

The weather has been so hot here ....thank heavens we have a pool to cool off in....the pool is at 83 degrees and feels amazing....

Today's mini painting is of one of the fun summer time treats...an ice cream cone on a fresh waffle cone...

Mixed Media Monday Theme " by the Sea"...a montage of some of my work...new and old...

Hope you had a great weekend...this was one of the warmest ever...so what a perfect theme this week on Mixed Media Monday..."by the sea" ....I just created this 2.5 x 3.5 inch watercolour painting of one of my favorite ladies by the sea...the mermaid...

I also looked up some of my past work and added it for fun....I think I have a ton of work inspired by the sea....most of my work is available in my Etsy Shop as a print so please feel free to pop by and check it out.

Getting Ready for the Big Day...oh what great memories....Happy 9th Anniversary Brad!

Hi Everyone...

Thanks for all your visits...I love hearing from you.... Today I made a special ATC in watercolour for a card I will be making for my cutie pie Brad...tomorrow it will be our 9th Wedding Anniversary...
It seems just like yesterday we were busy getting ready for our big day and what a wonderful day it was.....I am so lucky to be married to the sweetest man in the world... I love you Brad! Happy 9th Anniversary....

Here is the greatest gift we ever received...our son Cole...we are thankful each and every day to be parents to such a wonderful child....

and what Anniversary would be an Anniversary without some sort of cake...here are some yummy cupcakes I baked up....

This was created using some clipart...and a photo... painted digitally and then I printed up a few sheets of the actual card and layered it to make it 3D ...

My Niece Alessia had her First Holy Communion last week and this was a special card I made for her...
