My latest body of work...my medium wood....my ink...burning tools....my colour to be determined with some experimentation....Created by hand....

Hi Everyone...you probably remember my earlier sketch I did called "Transformation" this was the initial sketch that inspired my latest body of work....Every since I started working on my Neck art and using my burning tools...I have been in love with creating in this manner....as a result my latest pieces are coming to life....these canvases are all wood and my ink is my burning tool.....the colour will depend on some experimentation....as I would love to keep the wood grain visible....This whole series is called "Transformation" as I am working on 50 plus pieces for some solo Exhibitions.....I am giving myself about a year to see what comes to fruition....

here is the first....I love the way they remind me of being by a bon fire as I work...the scent is wonderful.....Pop by often to see where this journey takes me.....

hugs
Diana

It's beautiful!!! The wood is such a natural material - I love 'earth' crafted things. I have a question... how does one buy prints of the butterflies you did a while back?

I think Cole is a doll. How sweet to showcase your work this way.

Diana, your talents constantly amaze me. I love this piece on wood. That's far more difficult than pen and pencil. This is beautiful.

I like the wood burning, seems like it would transform creativity into a more elemental process, how did you do the color piece from the burning on the wood?

Aw! You are on to something very unique here Diana. This method lends itself so beautifully to your style, now with an added dimension...
