Super simple and amazingly delish salad dressing!!! for all your garden goodies!!!

As many of you know I love love love to garden and I also love to pick fresh goodness from it for a quick lunch!!! I just picked these goodies and whipped up a super quick salad....and thought I would share one of my favorite dressings! Some olive oil, wine vinegar, finely rasp grated garlic, old fashioned grainy dijon mustard and salt and pepper!!!! So good on any salad and also amazing on grilled veggies!!!

Some fruits of our Labor.....

Hi Everyone....we are busy picking and enjoying plenty of yummy treats from our vegetable garden....the one reason I love summer is having a garden.....watching it grow and enjoying all of the goodness that it brings....
I am making a super yummy tomatoe salad tonight using some tomatoes, oil, vinegar, garlic and chopped basil.....super fresh and super easy....

and we just love basil and garlic and tomatoes....yummmy!!!

Tomatoes! the best things in life are free.....

Today was all about family...just me and my two boys...we did some gardening...we trimmed some trees, we picked some lavender and tomatoes and we swam and enjoyed all of the wonder around us....we didn't have to go anywhere....we didn't have to spend a dime...it was priceless...and the greatest part of the whole day was our son looking at us this evening and saying....

"Mommy and Daddy, we had a really good day"

He always puts things into perspective.....bless his cute little heart!!!

Mixed Media Monday and some weekend updates....

Hi Everyone!!! I am back from taking a break this weekend...we called it our Thanksgiving in August Weekend...we had both our families up at our cottage in Huntsville and we had a wonderful time filled with great company, great weather , great sports, and great food.....The piece above is my submission this week to Mixed Media Monday...the theme is Together and this weekend was all about "Together" ......The illustration is a rough from my latest book that will be coming out soon!!! It is written and illustrated by me!!! and I can't wait till you all see it and read it....I hope you will love it !!!

here are some of our tomatoes...picked and ready for eating!!! with some of my yummy herbs too....and below I sliced some so you can see them....these are my favorite .....tomatoe and mayonnaise sandwiches...oh yummm I think I will have one !!!

and I just had to show you more of my cauliflowers from this season...they are monsters!!! we love them.....I had to buy one to show you all the difference in size....I always prefer my home grown organic goodies!!!

The Fruits of our Labor....yumm!

Hi Everyone...

I am in the middle of working on some Wedding Stuff for my Brother...so I haven't had any time to work on art...well only Wedding art that is...lol...so I thought I would post some yummy shots of the fruits of our labor...our vegetables....Cole even helps me in the garden each day...he loves to pick tomatoes and peppers....he is the cutest ....

We are enjoying these yummy treats each and every day....

Today I will be creating some "sitting pretties" for my brother and sister-in-law to be...they will be all spiffed out in Wedding attire....

Claudine Hellmuth featured these on the Martha Stewart Show last year....I figure these will be a riot .....
