Bird Update.....my Sweet Saturdays week 67 post.....

here are my planters on the wall.....and what do you find living in them...but some cute babies in their sweet little nest.....

Hi Everyone....I am sharing an update on our cute little doves that have quadrupled in size in the last week...holy smokes...what are these birds eating to grow so fast....I just snapped an updated shot of these babies and they are as sweet as can be so I had to share these with you all .....I think they will be taking flight in the next few days.....how exciting for these little guys!!!!

My Sweet Saturdays week #63 ......

 

Hi Everyone....

If you followed my blog from Spring till now you will know the history of these doves and the nests and the eggs....well I finally got to plant these wall planters after their last babies took flight and then the other day noticed that there was some nest matter in my planters again!!!!

At first I started to take out the bits and pieces...and they just kept making more....then the next time I looked...there was an egg....and then another egg....so now we have these cute doves sitting with us on the patio....very cute.....they just keep coming back for more....what I don't get is why they even need to sit on the eggs...it is like 90 degrees out!!! its a wonder they don't cook ......

Thought they were super sweet and wanted to share them for my Sweet Saturdays post this week!!!

13 Amazing Years......Happy Anniversary to us!

Time sure does fly when you're having fun.....Thirteen years ago today I was getting ready to walk down the aisle.....and make a commitment to my sweetheart....I feel so blessed to have such an amazing husband and someone that believes in me and has helped me take my first flight out of my comfort zone....

Many of you may not know this, but I was not always an Illustrator and Designer....I had a career and loved my work....but once we decided to become parents my views about work changed and I started to use my imagination and started to dream.....(thanks to my sweetheart)

When I was off on maternity leave I started to draw and paint and get a portfolio together....something I loved to do my whole life....but I never ever imagined this could be something I did full time as a career.....but it turned out I was wrong....and my sweet Husband was the one who had faith in me and my work to keep pushing me to believe in my dreams.....What a blessing.....

 

So thanks to him and thanks to our little son I am living my dreams and drawing each and every day.....I guess that is a big part of marriage....being there to support each other and being there to push us out of our comfy nest once and a while to spread our wings and fly....

 

Happy Anniversary to my amazing Husband Brad.....thanks for teaching me how to fly....and for helping me use my Imagination each and every day...... 

 

Thought I would share the photos of our little doves....she has two babies and they are so used to our family....it is so adorable....

Sunday Sketch....Wishing all the Moms out there a Happy Mother's Day....

Hi Everyone....

I am wishing you and your Moms a Happy Mother's Day.....

I remember the day I found out I was expecting our first baby..... I was over the moon with Happiness and Joy....it was as though everything else didn't matter anymore....Instantly my heart started growing bigger each day before we even met...then you were born and came into our lives and the joy that you brought filled my heart and still fills my heart each and every day....I finally knew my calling in life.....to be a Mom.....and it is the most important role I have ever took on.....Sure I am not perfect....I make mistakes ....but you love me none the less.....

I am so grateful each and every day to be called Mommy.....to be looked up at .....to be loved so whole heartedly.....it is truly a gift each and every day....I love everything we do together....from our little traditions to our special art days....I will love you always and keep you in my heart where you belong.....there is nothing more special than the love of a Mommy......and the love of a Child.....

I love you my sweet son Cole....you have filled my heart ......

Now off to draw and paint with my sweet little man who keeps saying...."Mommy, everyday is Mother's Day"

Look who's egg's hatched!!!

Hi Everyone....

I am so excited to say that our cute little dove has two little ones in her nest....they are as cute as can be and she has been the most amazing Mommy....she doesn't leave them at all....her husband Dove comes around and feeds her and takes care of her as she sits and keeps the babies warm....

She is so used to us that she doesn't even move an inch...took me a while to capture a shot of the babies....they are so amazing....I love seeing life in our gardens!!!

Paint Party Friday.....look at the cute visitor in our Garden......

Hi Everyone......

We were so super thrilled when we walked outside and kept seeing these two doves.....they are always around and our son loves them.....then one day I was outside and noticed that they hung around one of our old spiral evergreens and saw this cute little dove peeking at me from the bush...

I then looked a little harder and found that they have one egg in a cute little nest in our tree.....so we are thrilled to have these new guests visiting us while they grow their family.....


and they inspired my latest ink and watercolour painting that I am sharing with all of my talented friends over at Paint Party Friday.....I hope you all take a moment to look around at all of the amazing art links on that special blog.....

I created a special illustration of Brie holding up a "Peace Symbol" and also added a template from the site above and added some fun clip art and shapes to art it up....

Today was a wonderful day...the sun was shining and we headed over to Mary's place for Brunch...it was a lot of fun...so much so that we will be doing this again next week at our home...
