all the divers I know hope that this legend is a true one and as long as they look like your work and not those scary photos in your link we will keep diving and searching for our mermaids

Hi Diana, I went to see right away your blog what you have submitted for IF. I read your lovely blog everyday. This painting of the mermaid is gorgeous. I also love the pic of you in the shell. Your cupcakes are amazing and I loved your brides maid dress illustration and of course your yummy food of the day. Things here have been crazy getting ready for the move. I am so missing my paints and brushes. Cant wait to get to Canada and start my painting again & hitting some nice galleries to sell my work over in Canada. Have a great day, :) Lisa

Your mermaid is lovely. Her fashion details show that she has great style. No sailors can ignore this enchanted creature.
*I really like the straight blue lines for the underwater scene. I did not expect it (always associate wavy lines with ocean). Thanks for the new out-of-the-box concept :).
*You are such a fun person -->love that Diana Mermaid! :D

i totally love the you-as-mermaid collage! every woman should be a mermaid at least once in her life! wonder when i'll be one.....?

You make a lovely mermaid! Do mermaids eat cupcakes?
What a fun blog too.

Hi Platitudinal...thanks for the wonderful comments...how sweet of you to pop by...

Hi Murphy Girl...you can be one anytime you wish...it is fun being a mermaid and a frequent request from clients...

Hi Roberta! well ofcourse mermaids eat cupcakes...and funny you would ask that because when I was illustrating her I was about to place a cupcake in her hands but swapped the idea with a shell instead....now I wish I went with it...hehehehehe

thanks for all the great comments...I appreciate it!!!

Cheers,
Diana

I think Canadian women make lovely mermaids! If you wish, you may serve my giant pears for one of your meals. Perhaps in a crepe?
