When I was about 5 years old...I got a little raggedy anne doll....she is about 4-5 inches tall and I took her everywhere I went for years....She was hand stitched ....so I thought I would make a special illustration as a tribute to her....perfect for this week's theme ....
To this day, I still have this doll and it sits on my desk in my studio...bringing me a smile and warmth from the past and inspiration for the future...
silly I know...but funny how something from our childhood can do all that...
Have a wonderful day!
Cheers,
Diana

she's wonderful and brings back memories of my own Raggedy Ann....alas, she is gone....but I have always loved the simplicity and innocence that is Raggedy Ann.
oh what a great illustration
makes me wish I kept my doll.
thanks for the memories
Really sweet and nice. Thanks for stopping by too!
Thanks for your kind comments but I might say that details are your specialty. I especially like the threaded needle on the spool because that is what I exactly do. Thanks for explaining how you do these attractive and fantastic illustrations.
the colour is spot on in this work
love the spools of thread and the needles
always wonderful to have something to hold on to from Childhood. Lovely!
LOVE IT!!! I can't believe (actually I can) how create you are!

wish I kept mine
lucky you
Nice colors Diana!
when i was about that age too i ha a fave doll that i bring everywhere even beside me when i sleep. one day coming from school (well in school toys are not allowed) i saw my brother and his playmate ripped her off and destroyed her. mean act which to this day he didnt know why they did it. i was devastated then. but i guess we just laugh at that now.
thanks for sharing your art and reminding me of my silly childhood..
Oh! She's pretty. Is there a boy version though?
What a wonderful tribute to a wonderful memory.
So cute, love your work!
It doesn't seem silly to me. A wonderful post and your illustration makes me feel those good things too!
I love her! I did a doll too, but mine's creepier ;)
