Happy Canada Day!!! SOC Week Four and my 10 Minute Warm up.....

A little Canada Day inspired piece.....

Today we celebrate Canada Day! We are truly blessed and grateful to live in this amazing Country....Today we celebrate as a Nation....everyday we celebrate as a Family! We were at a special party Yesterday Celebrating 100 Years in the life of a sweet man who is our friend's Grandfather...it was a lot of fun and an honor to be part of his big day....Imagine everything he has seen in his lifetime....wow!!!

It is week Four already in SOC 2013....and this week the colours are pale pink and gray and I took my 10 Minute Warm Up time to mess around with my Pink Lady Illustrations!! I hope you enjoy this piece and I hope you enjoy the long weekend!!!

WOYWW - 10 Minute Warm Up - SOC ....Pistachio Laudree Macaron Paper Dolls....

Hi Everyone....What is my workspace today? I am working away on more of my Paper Dolls....doing all of the design work and then tonight I get to cut them out and assemble them for my Shop....

I created these this morning with my 10 Minute Warm Up time....and used the SOC colours for this week....Citron Green & Turquoise.....

so I made some Pistachio Macaron Paper Dolls!! 
Super fun to work on my Daily challenge....and incorporate the colours of SOC all week long.... and get to share these with WOYWW.....

10 Minute Warm Up....Sock Cats in colour and the start of the Summer of Color 2013....

The Summer of Colour ....week 6

Well you know what they say....."Time flies when you're having fun"

it sure does....today is the start of the last week of the Summer of Colour....and I am sad that it is over....it flew by and was a blast and a half......The above piece is my take on the colours for this week....all inspired by "Watermelon Ice"......

and I also thought I would share the six weeks of my Summer of colour....

What a super fun time.....

The Summer of Colour week 5......Wild n' Reckless Sherbet!

Hi Everyone....

I am still on a super amazing vacation but had to participate in week five....so here are some Wild n' Reckless Sherbet inspired donuts....ready for a super fun time.....


I am really loving all of the super fun everyone is having for the Summer of Colour.....and who could resist working with these super fun colours....

I just had the most amazing ice cream cone today....It was at Kawartha Dairy and it was a three scooper....

Peanut Butter Chocolate, Strawberry and Moose Tracks....

So good and every time I enjoy a frozen treat I think of the Summer of Colour......

Summer of Colour Week 4....Strawberry Lemonade

Hi Everyone....

I am having so much fun with the Summer of Colour Challenge.....this week I really enjoyed the colours used....I love pinks and I love lemony yellows.....so I hope you pull up a chair and pop in for a nice tall vintage glass of my yummy Strawberry Raspberry Lemonade.....

 Ingredients

• 1 cup fresh or frozen strawberries
• 3/4 cup fresh or thawed frozen raspberries
• 9 cups water
• 2 cups freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 8-10 lemons)
• 2 cups super fine sugar

Directions

Puree the strawberries and raspberries in a blender and strain through a fine sieve into a large pitcher. Add the remaining ingredients and whisk together until the sugar dissolves. Serve over ice.

I am having so much fun illustrating this summer and I am thrilled to be a part of the Summer of Colour...

We are celebrating a long weekend here in Canada .....it is Canada Day and we celebrate Canada's 145th Birthday.....I am so happy to live in this amazing country...we are truly blessed!!!
