Every Thanksgiving weekend my Mom and our munchkin plant the garlic for the following year.....and yesterday we harvested all of our 2012 bulbs....some will be saved for planting and most will be used in delightful dishes.....My Mom is the master Garlic Braider....and we have fun cleaning up this stuff and enjoying it.....I will be making tons of Guacamole with this harvest and roasting some too.....
So today I am sharing some fun photos of our Garlic Harvest and also sharing a few illustrations I worked on all about garlic.... Hope you are all having a super amazing week....
Happy Wednesday and Happy Creating.....
Sharing this with all of my friends over at WOYWW.......since this is what I have on my workspace today....

Oh wow! heavenly. I love garlic and a garlic braid is just perfect in any kitchen! I need to tell my son to plant garlic. Hehehe. Hope all is well with you.
Love garlic - you have quite a crop. I love your illustrations as always!
Those braids of garlic are works of art in their own right!! It is something that is very satisfying to do - I do the same the onions that I grow. And if you do it with someone, so much the better - my lads love podding broad beans and shelling peas and they're hulking great teenagers now :)
Your illustrations are also lovely - the garlic has simple clean lines. It needs no fuss or bother....

Hi Diana,
Love your drawings of the garlic. And LOVE seeing all that garlic. Do you live near Gilroy, CA?
I've eaten at "The Stinking Rose" in San Francisco and loved it. Although I must confess I haven't tried garlic ice cream yet....
Happy WOYWW

Oh my goodness! I used to have a garlic grower neighbor who also tested garlic for the USDA. I miss all the exotic garlics!
I'm awfully late for WOYWW, but very glad I made it here!
