Hi Everyone....thank you for popping by and for making suggestions for this project....your feedback means a lot to me and I love hearing your ideas...The other day Cynthia suggested we make a stop in Japan on this journey and I immediately thought about Mount Fuji....and she reminded me of the cherry blossoms...so here is a tribute all that.....
Mount Fuji is an attractive volcanic cone and a frequent subject of Japanese art. Mt. Fuji is a distinctive feature of the geography of Japan. It stands 3,776 m (12,388 ft) high and is located near the Pacific coast of central Honshu, just west of Tokyo. What a wonderful view....
Hope you have a wonderful day!!! and if you have any ideas for upcoming paintings, please feel free to leave them and I will add them to my list...and as I get inspired I will see what I can come up with ......
Hugs
Diana

This DOES look like a Japanese woodcut, Diane! Beautiful! How do you ever find the time to accomplish a painting a day?!? I'm in awe. Hmmm . . . I'd love to see you do a mermaid or under the sea themed picture. Hugs, Terri xoxo
Hi Diana, I love the painting a day theme. I have missed so much and you have been so busy.
The Mount Fuji is one of my favorites.
The starfish is wonderful too.
You are amazing.
Hi Diana,
I have enjoyed looking back over the painting a day project.
You have been one busy Gal.
I love them all and especially Mount Fugiyama. I think that has to be one of the most beautiful Mountains especially when the cherry blossoms are flowering.
I hope that your New Year is starting off well and have a great week.
Hugs
Carolyn
This is very different for you. It is also very beautiful!
Diana,
this is wonderful. You really captured a feeling of an exotic land.
Awww, it's beautiful Diana! You did such a wonderful job with it!!! I love the composition and all of the iconic elements you put into it. Thank you for taking my suggestion. I'm really enjoying your daily paintings!
Dang girl! You are superpainter Diana Evans.
I had more than ten lay-overs at Narita and Nagoya but never ventured past the airports in Japan. I envy Bella, she lived there for more than two years!
My sisters have been there (one of them was a visiting professor) and they have nothing but lovely things to say about the place and especially about how the women are dressed fashionably and elegantly. Everything I read about Japan makes me conclude it is such an insular and homogenous culture like Korea and India. Very rarely do they marry outside their culture. Of course there are always exceptions.
oh wow CES!!! that is so neat....I had a cousin that lived there for a few years and they loved it....
I would love to experience the culture and the food there...they cook like art!!!
Wonderful mount Fuji!
I missed this one...... Glad I found it now.
Lovely post and oh so beautiful painting :) TFS
