Happy Thanksgiving Everyone.....we should be Grateful each and every day!

Hi Everyone....

Today we are celebrating Thanksgiving over at my Parent's place and I am so grateful to have them in our lives....I am grateful for all of you who come to visit me here on my blog daily and for all of the amazing and talented friends I have met all over the world.....I know that many of you are not celebrating today because you have your Thanksgiving in November....but truly....I believe that everyday we need to be Thankful and appreciate all the amazing things that God has brought into our lives....I baked up a whole bunch of treats to share with my wonderful family even though I know my Mom and my Sister in Law will have all kinds of goodies too....I am grateful.....

Wishing you all an amazing day filled with Family, Friends and Love....

Paint Party Friday and some Thankgiving Turkey fun.....

Hi Everyone....and Happy Paint Party Friday....this weekend is a super long weekend for us as we celebrate Thanksgiving here in Canada....so I thought I would create something fun and also share it with all of my blog friends....I am super Thankful to have you all here visiting my blog and I always am inspired when you leave me comments....I am Thankful for so many wonderful people and things in my life...my most amazing family and friends.....and the fact that I can get up each and everyday and draw and live my creative dream.....

Life is truly a wonderful gift and before we think about anything negative we should always be inspired and grateful for the little wonders around us and in our lives.....

I worked on these cute turkey pieces and then created one large centerpiece double sided turkey that you can use with your wreath on the front door a flower arrangement or just a little table scape....and then I created these super cute napkin place setting cards....I created these so you could use one of the circle punches in the middle to make it super easy......I used one that was 1.5 inches in diameter......Download your copy of this by heading here to my website and scrolling down the main page to Downloads....you will find all kinds of fun stuff.....

I also think you can add some fun stickles to your decor for some added bling.....

Happy Thanksgiving!!!!

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone....

Today we celebrate Thanksgiving here in Canada....so we will be thinking about all of the things we are grateful for....and spending lots of time with family and friends to enjoy good times, great food and plenty of laughs....Lastnight when I was putting our son to bed....I said.....let's do something different tonight....with it being Thanksgiving weekend....lets think about all the things we are Grateful for....and he laid in bed and as I tucked him in...this is what he said....

"I am Thankful for my family, my Grandparents, My Daddy and Mommy, the sandbox Daddy built for me, our pool, the food we eat, our home that is nice and cozy, and for my friends....." and I asked if he had anything else...and he said ...."that's enough for tonight, tomorrow we will have more to be thankful for."

It was the cutest moment ever....I am so grateful for so many things in my life...one thing that is top of my list is being a Mom....I have never ever had my heart grow as much as when I became a Mom....and all those things your parents told you when you were growing up...."you will understand once you have children" they are all true....I am grateful for every moment I have on this earth to share love with my amazing family....and friends....and I will never ever take anything for granted...

Paint Party Friday....The Ballerina Mommy.....La maman de ballerine

I have no idea where the time goes...Friday already...wow...the week has flown by right before my very eyes. I always look forward to Fridays for several reasons....besides the obvious start to the weekend which I always love as I get to spend more time with my family and friends.....but also because I take a moment on Fridays to think about all of the things I have accomplished during the past week and think about what I would have done differently or changed if I could....and I take that all in and make plans for my up-coming week....it is all about learning for me....and I always take a moment every day to be thankful for all of the amazing things in my life....and by "things" I don't necessarily mean inanimate objects or material things....I mean things like being a Mommy....my amazing family.....taking care of my family....my health....being a full time illustrator and author....teaching art to children....these are the things that truly fill the soul with happiness....these are the things I am most grateful for.....

so in light of one of my most favorite "things" ...being a Mommy...Today, I share with you a piece I created for a special dancing Mom and her little wee baby....a piece that I hope will be cherished forever....This piece is titled ...."The Ballerina Mommy" or in my virtual Paris Studio....

I am so grateful....

Here in Canada we are celebrating Thanksgiving this long weekend...Family to me is everything so this weekend is no different than every time we get together to celebrate (except we really go overboard with the food)...and I think being Thankful is something we need to focus on each and every day.....I am so grateful for so much in my life....for being married to the most amazing man in the world....who supports my every dream...like taking a leap of faith to follow my dreams and become a full time Artist, Illustrator and Author....who always takes the time to see my new work each and every day over lattes....and who edits and reads all of my silly new manuscripts and business plans....I love you dearly my sweet!!!

I am grateful for being a Mom...I never ever knew that something could truly change you for the better...and being a Mom really has changed my life in so many ways....I fill my life with so much love each day that my heart sometimes hurts from it's growth spurts...and trust me when they say your heart never stops growing....because each and every day something magical and magnificent happens....something so small and so simple to everyone else...but to a Mom....it is amazing......

I am so grateful to have such an amazing family....that sticks by us and shares in amazing traditions and memories...I have no idea what I would do without each and every one of these amazing people....my Dad whom I always try to make proud....my Mom who is my biggest fan and cheerleader...(she carries my postcards and business cards everywhere she goes....and even my published books once and a while...she is truly my best friend in the world and having them around each week....making new memories with our son....my heart is truly full...and I feel truly blessed.....My brother and Sister-in-law, my brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws.....you all make a big difference in our lives....with our laughter and our special times ....who could ask for anything more....

I am Thankful to all of you ....my blog friends ...that pop by to say hello....so my days in the Studio don't seem so lonely....your friendships are amazing and I am constantly meeting some amazing people through blogging....

wow...I think this may be one of my longest posts....

so Thank you !!! thank you to all of you....each piece of the puzzle adds up to make a beautiful life...that I feel honored to be living......

Illustration Friday - "Flying" Meet Scary....his one dream is to be flying with the birds....and Happy Thanksgiving to all ....

Hi Everyone....

This weekend is Thanksgiving here in Canada...so I wish you all a most wonderful and Happy Thanksgiving....may you all take some time to think about your lives and be grateful.....

The theme on IF this week is "Flying" and I created "Scary" the Scarecrow....he always dreamed about flying one day....and the birds loved to sing for him and always flew by to say hello...he wasn't very scary...he was a Happy Scarecrow who loved when the birds would visit.....

Some Thanksgiving Memories...2008!

Hi Everyone...

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend...

My brother and his new wife hosted their first Thanksgiving this year and it was wonderful...

We went for a hike Sunday before the big feast....the wonderful colours of leaves and scenery were amazing!!!

I captured 175 amazing photos...and wanted to share at least a few with all of you....

I love Autumn!!!

The leaves are just amazing...living art as I like to say....




















Monika set the table and it looked wonderful....and the guys just had to start digging in...lol...
Then today we had to do it all over again at My Mom and Dad's place....it was another wonderful time with family....what memories are all made of.....
