Hi Everyone...and Happy Wednesday....I was messing around with some doodles I forgot about in my sketchbook and whipped up this little surface design with this party cat!!! What do you think?

I am have a bunch of oddities I am messing around with from my sketches and will be sharing them here with you all week... I think I had hearts in the brain for this one....she has a heart nose...a heart neck piece and hearts on her hat....

10 Minute Warm Up Tuesday......Butterflies....SOC 2013

Hi Everyone....

I am having even more fun daily with my 10 Minute Warm Ups....because now I have incorporated the Summer of Color weekly color theme in my work!!! Sharing some sketches from a packaging project I worked on...

Hello Everyone....

So happy you popped by to say hello....I am so excited to share some work I did with an amazing Company in Australia....The Company is called Spit the Pip and they contacted me to work on some art for their package designs....This project was near and dear to my heart as I am an avid Gardener and love sharing Gardening with Children....

They were a pleasure to work for and I love each and every one of the illustrations I created for this project....I was so excited to get this package in the mail this week....(as an Illustrator we often get amazing gifts in the mail....months after we have worked on a project....and this was like Christmas all over again for me....) I almost forgot all about this and then this amazing package arrived ....

I am sharing this with all of you and also linking up with Sunday Sketches....super excited about all of these sketches and had to share them with you all....

WOYWW - Snowmen Surface Designs

Hi Everyone...

I am in the Holiday mood and also in the mood to make our first snowman or snowlady...if only it would snow here!!! So this week I am working away on some new Winter inspired surface designs and this cute little snowlady came to life with her special flower hat.....

I hope we get some snow for the holidays and I can't wait to create some fun snowmen in our yard....

Our little munchkin can't wait either....it is our little tradition to have plenty of snowmen around!!!

Sunday Sketch - having some fun with a new vintage lady head....

Hi Everyone....I am so thrilled to have found a radio station that is playing Christmas Music all day long...Star 102.5 .it just makes my day a little more happy to hear these songs....I am in love with the feeling of the Holidays....it is all about the Birth of Jesus....Family, Friends and sharing amazing times together for me....you can even hear it on your computer through their live streaming here....I will have this in the Studio every day till Christmas....and soon I will start decorating around here.....

I was just watching How the Grinch Stole Christmas with our munchkin and I always cry when they learn the true meaning of this magical time of year....

I also sketch while I watch just about anything on the boob tube so I worked on several new pieces today....and I am sharing a fun little surface design I just created....

What's on my workspace....Messing around with some gift wrap designs....Let them eat cake!

Hi Everyone.....

Hope you are all having a super sweet day....I have extended my long weekend and enjoyed some quality time shopping with my parents....we started the day with a trip to IKEA....one of my favorite places to see kitchen stuff....it was a blast and a half.....talk about tons of inspiration and I always love what their designers create with surface designs.....love the fabrics and the fun glassware.....

Here are some shots I took with my Blackberry ......fun stuff in the kitchen area and I couldn't help but fall in love with the bird inspired fabric!!!

Well anyways...Even though I take a few days off here and there I am always working on new things...so today I was playing around with some fun new surface designs.....and cake was on my mind too...so I created this cute slice of cake and then made some colour choices for backgrounds to see where this design will go....

I am sharing all this stuff today with all of my friends over at What's on your Workspace Wednesday......

More of my weekly process.....in purple for Creative Tuesdays.....

Every week I have fun with a little creative exercise I like to call...Sketch Workout....here is my fun process.....in case you missed my post about this....

This week the I doodles the sketches above...no rhyme or reason....just a fun little exercise when you need some inspiration....which I love inspiration every week....so this is what I turn to for fun.....

I then took a few pieces and created this super fun bloom......

I added some stems and leaves and created this fun art piece.....I mainly work on this exercise for Art Licensing   surface designs....and it is amazing what a few doodles can turn into.....

I also made a new repeat design so you can see how this design would translate into fabric......

I worked on these piece in shades of purple as inspired by "Creative Tuesday" 's prompt this week which is purple.....you can check out all sorts of amazing art pieces by heading over to Creative Tuesday.....

The first Collection is done...Sweet Guardians by Diana Evans

I can't tell you how much I love being back in the Studio full swing! What a wonderful place to be and being all healthy and back to my old self really makes me appreciate the important things in life...like Health and Family....

I am working away on my new "Sweet Guardians" Collection and this is the first Character holding all sorts of things from a home to a baby to a pet....I am having so much fun creating these for all sorts of projects. I hope these will also become figures of some sort via art Licensing...so I will be keeping my fingers crossed!!!!
