Just made my Dad's Birthday cake for tomorrow.....what do you think?

Hi Everyone....

Tomorrow is my Dad's Birthday and I can't wait to see him and see what he thinks of this cake!!! I made it extra tasty with extra love and I hope he loves it.....I have one more to make for the weekend when we celebrate all over again!!! I am having so much fun with baking and cake decorating....

Hi Everyone....I just spotted the theme this week on the "Crazy Amigos Challenge blog" ...it is Happy Birthday...so I created one of my favorite things about any Birthday ....cake...

I am dedicating these virtual cakes to all of you .....every one of you had or will have a Birthday this year...I am really really bad with remembering dates ...so here is an open Happy Birthday to everyone....may you enjoy some virtual cake and have a really "Sweet Day"

Getting ready for the Party!!!

Hi Everyone...I have been going full steam since morning....tomorrow is a party for Cole...he is turning 3 on July 15th and we are having 2 special parties for him...one with friends tomorrow....Sunday ......and another on July 15th with family.....today I have been baking up a storm...and creating some special keepsakes I make every year....Every year I make special laminated circle decorations to place around the patio....



I then baked and iced a special huge cupcake cake ...using the Wilton Large Cupcake pan...what fun...I did the bottom with chocolate ganache and the top is a butter cream cheese icing with a hint of almond....I hope everyone loves it tomorrow!!!



I also baked some yummy chocolate chip cookie pops then dipped them in white chocolate and sprinkles...I figure everything is more fun in colourful sprinkles....





and since Cole loves Spongebob this year....I tried to make some yummy brownies that are little Spongebob characters....hehehehe....they are hilarious....



This is a special laminated sign I made for the cake topper....Every year I make one and keep them as a memento....





and more cupcakes just for fun!!!




Well now it's time for a little rest...and relaxation....I am tired from all the baking and creating!!! What a wonderful Saturday!!!!

Mixed Media Monday - Layers

Hi Everyone,

Every once and a while Coco wanted to just be herself....she was always trying so hard to please everyone...but under all her layers...she was just a happy girl....a happy girl who wanted to live her dreams and not anyone else's dreams.....

Here's to shedding all the layers and just being yourself Coco....and then there's cakes with many layers....yumm!!!

I logged on today and checked out the theme on MMM and at first I thought...layers...what am I going to do for layers....then the first thing that came to me was to create a lady in a lady in a lady.....multiple layers....then I started to draw and Coco came to life....I hope you enjoy her....

and for all my wonderful blog friends...a nice slice of layers!!!

Illustration Friday and Happy Birthday to me!!!

Hi Everyone...

what a week...I had a flawed week when my laptop blew up...but I am back up and running now and everything is fab...

Today is my birthday and I am having a wonderful day already...

The first piece is my submission for Illustration Friday this week,....the theme is "Flawed" and even though everyone thought the ring was flawed...the carbon heart meant the world to Amy....

One more to go....Happy Birthday Dearest Son...we Love you!

Make a wish!

Hi Everyone...

We had a wonderful time for our son's second Birthday Party...

This year we are having two parties...

One with all our friends and their children...this was on Saturday July 12th.... we had 18 people over and it was a blast....

and Cole is lucky that on his actual Birthday which is July 15th he is having another party with family...



He was so excited when everyone sang Happy Birthday and his smile when he blew out his candle was priceless....

I made a special cake for him...Strawberry and Lemon....and then I used a print of the painting I made for him as a cake topper...

and there are a few cupcakes left in the corner.....

Brad and I worked on the decorations....

Cole and some friends in the pool...what fun!

Cole loves his tractor ...just like Daddy's lawn mower...hehehe

Cole opening his gifts...anything with wheels...is a huge hit!
