WOYWW...I am working by candlelight.....Fabric Flowers with a tutorial for you all....

Hi Everyone....

I am working away this week on some fun flowers....and also made a super easy and fun tutorial so you can all try these at home too.....I think you will get addicted to making these.....they are super easy....you can use all kinds of fun sheer and fun coloured fabrics and they can be added to just about anything from hair pins to gift boxes.....

Here is the tutorial for you all!!! I am sharing this with all of my friends for WOYWW......since these are all over my studio.....and workspace right now!!!

Happy Wednesday and Happy Creating Everyone!!!

What beautiful flowers, Diana! Lovely and light and shimmery. Off to discover the tutorial. I'm busy making paper ones this week for a swap I'm doing with Judy of Judy's Fabrications in Australia.

I've been wanting to try these, I'll look at your tutorial tomorrow and maybe become brave enough to try it, I'm worried about the fire part of this technique, fire and me don't get along too well, long story ;( anyway, waving hi from the sandy beaches of Florida!

Those look great, Diana! I remember the preparations for a Hawaii party when flowers made of paper napkins were ALL OVER my apartment. I think we made about 300 back then. Much fun!

Awesome tutorial - thank you soooo much! I'm definitely going to have a go. But.... why are you working by candlelight?? By choice or is there a power cut?!

Diana, your flowers are simply gorgeous. Thank you so much for the tutorial. I have been wanting to make my own flowers and did not want to make paper ones. I have to get to the fabric store. Thank you. #22

Thanks for your visit, Diana. Glad you like my tippy workspace - you'd like it better if it wasn't such a mess at the moment, I think. The flowers are coming on well, despite ongoing glue gun problems - new one from Ebay even worse than my existing one - it only worked at all after I tweaked it, and when it's hot, the glue pours out all over the place when I'm not pulling the trigger! Decided to get a seriously good one, but it's cost me. Worth it in the long run as I use a glue gun a lot. If you want decent tools, I find you have to pay for them... I wasted most of the afternoon coming to this decision!

Are those the flowers that you single the edges with a candle? I love the look of those, thanks for the tutorial, I'll have a peek later.

Love those flowers and you are right, they can become quite addictive. I have made so many I will never be able to use all of them. LOL
Happy belated WOYWW!
