Hi Everyone....
I have been so busy with all kinds of projects lately but when you love to draw you take a few minutes each and every day to do something just for fun....so this week...I joined a new group of illustrators on Facebook called Illustrator's Workshop ...they have a group where they share tips and detail their processes for creating....so I thought I would take a moment today to create for the "Three Muses" challenge blog and document my steps for this piece...so here it is....
I start with a pencil rough of my idea....and once I am happy with the concept...I move on to working with ink...I then finish all the details in ink and scan the piece so I can get it ready for some fun in Photoshop....I then create layers to keep adding textures and colours to the piece and this can go on and on....I will talk more about Photoshop in the months to come...I love Adobe products and I use the entire master suite...
This process is very simple....but I am a tactile person and my drawing is always pen to paper....it just feels right....I do also use a wacom tablet for modifications and changes on-line but I still start each and every illustration project with my sketchbook!!!
Have a wonderful day !!!
Hugs
Diana

very cool...yes, I love good old fashioned art..paper and pencil..technology is fun, but can't forget how it all started right?! Thanks for the clips on how you put your creations together.. I was always wondering how you did the backgrounds.
thanks
Fantastic! Thank you so much for sharing your process! Technology is wonderful, but there's something to be said for good old sketches, paste and paper! Hugs, Terri
Fantastic! Thank you so much for sharing your techniques. Technology is wonderful, but there's still something to be said for the traditional methods of pen, ink, paper, scissors and glue! Hugs, Terri

Love your gipsy fortune-teller Diana! I can believe you love to draw every day as you do it so well! And kudos to you for using the entire suite - I still have to wade through PS 7.0 carefully to get decent results! ;o)

Thanks and I love your process.
When we see your work, we see colour and creativity and wonderful pictures but we don't see the process from beginning to end. This time, you shared the process with us and I enjoyed it immensely. Your fortune teller is gorgeous! Great work.
Diana you have boundless energy. And all of it is positive.

Wow this is stunning.
So fantastic work. Brilliant.
What an original interpretation of this theme! Trust an artist to manage to associate a romantic gypsy fortune teller with numbers. I always love yor bold, joyous use of color, Diana.
Love it!! Thanks for sharing your process. I love that you have your own unique style, and that you always use such happy fresh colours!!

I don't have Photoshop..... maybe I should....lol!
What do you see in that crystal ball for my future? LOL
I think your fortune is GREAT SUCCESS and GREAT TALENT. A creative genius. Very impressive, I love how you showed the stages of your work too! I am, again, impressed.
its lovely!
Wonderful picture! I love the pattern work in the tablecloth-great touch! I also love the vivid colors--so full of life!
I'm like you, I'd rather sketch and then ink my pictures the 'old fashioned way' first and then touch up using my Bamboo tablet. My favorite pencil is an ebony layout.
Love to see your process! I have been strictly Wacom tablet lately. This is a really cool piece! Good job!!!
I have to check out your links, sounds like some fun and helpful stuff.
