Yummy Sketch of the Day - Lemon Meringue Pie Request and some fun updates from my Birthday...

Hi Everyone...
Firstly I would like to thank everyone who e-mailed me, wrote on my wall on Facebook and commented on my blog with the wonderful Birthday wishes...
This has been one of the best Birthdays ever....I had a wonderful time with friends over the last week and had a very special evening with my husband Brad and our son Cole...Brad picked up some Yummy Chinese Take out and we ate and laughed....then when I opened my fortune cookie I laughed so hard...because Brad had a cake waiting for me...now what are the chances of getting that fortune tonight of all nights...what a riot...Then Brad lit all my candles...(you see I have this thing where I have to have all the candles for every year...lol...I just hate those number candles...this is way more fun and when you make a wish I feel it really comes true...) the best is our son's expression in the shot of me blowing out all those candles...priceless...and check out the smoke...hehehehe
and then there is my list of things...At the beginning of 2008 I said that I would create a potential cover for "The New Yorker" by my Birthday....and I did!!!! I finished it tonight and e-mailed it to the 3 Art Directors ...I hope they love it as much as I do....but atleast I can say I tried....I took a snip out of the work ...and used it in this post...just a peek at Lady Liberty...I will post the whole thing at a later date...
oh and ofcourse...the "Yummy Sketch of the Day" is a special request from last Sunday...sorry for the delay...but here is the Lemon Meringue Pie...
Cheers,
Diana

Hi Diana!
Your birthday sounds and looks like a wonderful day! I am so glad and absolutely love your illustrations and your fortune from your cookie.
I was thinking of you during celebrity apprentice. The work on the task was fun and interesting to watch, but the drama Piers created was silly. The good news is I think his days are numbered.
Do you watch Lost? :)

Diana, I am so sorry I missed your birthday yesterday! We got such a HUGE snowstorm here, and I was so beat when I finally got in from work last night after driving 2 hours. Then I remembered today. It looks like it was a really fun birthday, though! All that smoke cracked me up. Your son is SO CUTE! I am glad it was a joyous occasion!
