Finally back....a great weekend and then I got ill....now feeling all better......

Hi Everyone....

It is hard to believe that I have been away from my blog for a few days...wow.....I was initially away for the weekend.....up North where you can find snow!!!! We had so much fun doing all kinds of great things in the snow....it was perfect.....and then unfortunately I got really sick when I got back and have not done much of anything but sleep and drink liquids......today I am finally back to my normal self and I just made it back to the Studio....I feel so  much better today and being back is great.....I look forward to seeing what you all created while I was away from blogland....

Let it snow! Let it snow! Let it Snooooow.......in the Studio that is......

 

 

Just kidding.....it is no where near snowing here....but I have been working on my 2012 Snowmen ornaments....every year I come up with some new ones....so I thought it would be fun to share these with all my friends over at Paint Party Friday.......they are all created with wood....paint and liquid pearl paints.....I created the pieces I call "snow angels" as inspired by our son Cole...who loves snowmen and making snow angels.....

The initial Illustration at the very top of this post is going to turn into my latest Articulated Paper Doll....so be sure to pop back tomorrow for Sweet Saturdays and see the snowmen come to life....I hope there is some magic in that old silk hat I found....and when I place it on their heads...I hope they dance around!!!! Ohhhhhh.....

Day 6 - A Painting a Day Project - who loves lavender fields in Provence? and some fun with Cole....he is my little Angel!!!

Here are all 6 paintings for the last 6 days!!! this project is really relaxing and fun....

This painting will be in an auction at the Gallerie St. George in Staten Island....this weekend!!!

Hi Everyone!!! what a wonderful day...today I spent the day with my two favorite guys in the world...Brad and Cole....We all went tobogganing and then had a nice dinner and then did some night tobogganing too....it was like we were kids again...Cole had a blast....this year he pulled his sled up the hill....he was so cute!!!

He also wanted to make you all some snow angels..since we are happy we finally have some snow for some fun...not enough for a big snowman but enough for some cute snow angels!!!

I also snapped this cute shot of Cole today at our learning time.....I always draw and write and teach Cole new words, letters and numbers...he is so sweet and I just love his excitement over learning....wish I was more like him when I was a child...

Painting #006 is my tribute to the Sénanque Abbey in Provence France....I can almost smell the Lavender fields...I can't wait for summer to arrive so my Lavender can bloom....
