Nothing like a cool Auntumnal evening to make you run home!!!

This week over at MMM the theme is cool it down...so I wanted to share one of my first ever published pieces....this is an old piece but I still love this cute little witch....she is a little scared as she walks by the cemetery as a cold breeze is upon her....I also love that I am seeing so much Halloween inspired art lately....so I thought this would be fun to share....

As an illustrator I love looking at some of my earlier work...you can see how much your style changes over time....and you can learn from the past....

Three Muses Challenge....eyes!!!

Of all of the insects out there.....I think the Dragonflies have the coolest eyes...Their eyes are huge!! imagine flying and seeing all the great things the Dragonflies get to see...what a wonderful perspective it would be....

I am seeing so many of these amazing insects lately....and I also love the fire flies too....

All the roughs of my latest book have been approved!!!

Hi Everyone....I am happy to say that my latest project with Author Carla Burke is moving along....I have finished all the rough illustrations for this wonderful non-fiction picture book. They all got final approval today so I am moving onto the last illustration ...the book cover....

I am so excited about the colorful pieces in this book and hope it will help educate and raise awareness....The 2 main characters are Penny and her Pony Peanuts.....

I will keep you all posted as we move forward with our latest book!

"I spy a Dragonfly" feature

Hi Everyone...

I was so thrilled that our latest book was featured on IndieNorth! I am so happy to also report that Carla and I have been busy these last months working on our next book .....This is a non-fiction picture book....I can't wait for you to see it!

Cole and Mommy's latest book....

I think we will be reading this before bedtime atleast twice a week....ok ....make it three times...

Brad and I designed this special bookshelf for Cole for his first Christmas and we bought him every one of our favorite picture books....can you tell we love our stories....
