Happy 2009!!!
I started the year off with something I have rarely done in a while...actually take vacation away from everything....
It was wonderful....
I just love a whole new year...it always seems so inspiring and fresh...and makes me think that anything is possible...
I created this piece as my submission to Illustration Friday's prompt..."Resolve"
It has many of the things I will be focusing on this year....
- Spend more time with family friends
- Illustrate more children's books
- eat healthier
- fit into my favorite dress
- paint more
- garden more
- bake more
- enjoy cupcakes more
- create more
- and always stop and smell the roses...meaning I will keep my eyes wide open and never let the wonder around me slip away....

Happy 2009 Diana! This is a lovely piece to start with! I hope you accomplish all the things you've set out to do in the new year. You'll need to do a lot of gardening after the cupcakes in order to fit into that favorite dress! Hugs, Diane
All the things I love!!! Yes, yes, yes, more cupcakes please!!! When you bake come remember! Okay make sure you don't eat to many cupcakes so you can fit into your dress and that goes for the both of us! he he he! Happy New year again. Hugs a plenty!

What a fabulous and meaningful piece. Your colors are always like jewels and inspire such happiness. Those are good resolutions to have! I'd probably do a lot more of the cupcakes one and less of the eat healthier and fit into the dress ones, though. :D
