Illustration Friday - "phenomenon"

Liberty print 2
Liberty print 4

I have always been impressed with the Statue of Liberty....Imagine that it was a gift from France and traveled so far....and it welcomes so many people to America....She is a symbol of something that is extraordinary....and I think many people feel the same way.....

This week over at IF the theme is "phenomenon" and I created this special watercolor and ink as inspired by my time in New york last weekend......

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend...may it be filled with Family, Friends and inspiration......

The "Caged in Paris" bird is complete....

Clay bird sculptures 4

Clay bird sculptures

December 5th 2010 018

I love to create all kinds of unique art pieces....This little clay bird is hand sculpted by me and then placed in this cute little Paris Scene in it's really cute bird cage.

The title of this piece is "Caged in Paris" and I love the way these little tweets turned out....

This piece is created with a black cage....

Each piece is created with a vintage glitter nest, Handmade Paper Eiffel Tower, and the clay bird with preserved moss for an accent....the bird assemblage is one piece and can be removed from the bird cage.....

The size of the piece is 3.2 inches wide by 5 inches tall...

I think these would be adorable on a table anywhere or even as a collector ornament....

Hope you love this little cute piece.....

Happy Creating!

TV - to watch or not to watch....that is the question....

santa
I knew this was a bad idea!!!! You're Late!!!!

We were out visiting some friends over the Holidays and we did a house tour and once all the women went to the Master Bedroom....two women....noticed that there was a TV in the bedroom....one of the women said there is no way I would allow a TV in the bedroom.....the other said the same....that she told her husband that he would never have a TV in the Bedroom....so I laughed with the other woman who owned the house and happened to have a TV in the bedroom....they had TVs in almost every room....lol....and they had some really nice Flat Screen TV stands too.....I can't believe how many different styles you can find for flat screen TV stands.....from totally modern to traditional....

I made fun of the guys that were not allowed to have a TV in their bedrooms....and in a snap I came up with this funny illustration about Santa finally getting a TV in the bedroom....and Mrs. Clause complaining about it....and telling him he will be late....

anyway....what do you think? do you have a TV in your master bedroom? or are you totally against it.....

Come back later this week...I should have the he final piece all done!!! in full Color.....oh and what do you think I should have on the TV? a Christmas Movie, a TV ad? let me know what you think......
