WOYWW.......Your Health is the greatest gift.....

Talk about getting a little scared ....I was sick a week ago and thought I was on the mend but Monday started feeling a little run down all over again and Tuesday I ended up in the Hospital all day trying to get some help....I tell you it is days like this when you realize just how important your health is and just what a gift it is to be able to do things each and every day.....I lucked out with an amazing Doctor who will be keeping an eye on my progress....and gave me some super duper medications to help me fight whatever this thing is.....

I pray that you are all Healthy and Happy and Safe and sound and look forward to getting back into the swing of things as soon as I feel like my old self....I doodled this orchid in bed and wanted to share it with you and my friends over at WOYWW.......since my workspace will be my bed for a few days....

Just trimmed my boxwood garden.....

As many of you know, I am in love with gardening....from my flower gardens to my vegetable garden to my boxwood garden....so I am happy to report that I just trimmed up my boxwood garden....this garden is special to me....we put it in on our 3rd Anniversary.....every year we try to do something special that we can enjoy for years to come...I do all the trimming and my sweet husband vacuums up all of the trimmed pieces....he is a sweetheart! I also have two teddy bear topiaries that I just trimmed up and they are as cute as can be!!!

I am off to get some work done....hope you all have a super amazing day and Happy Memorial Day to all of my American friends in blogland!

Shells and Beaches on the brain.....

Hi Everyone....

I am still amazed at the weather these last few weeks....it is like a super hot summer here already and last weekend we spent our time at the beach....and in the water too....that is unheard of for May....but I am not complaining....only enjoying every moment....and today thinking about all things sandy and beachy....so I worked on some shell inspired sketches today.....I have always collected shells my whole life and love them....they are amazing and so beautiful....and now our son has also acquired this love of shells and he is collecting shells too.....I think they are like magical pieces of natural art.....each one has its own story....

I also remember when my sweet husband took me to Sanibel Island and Captiva Island ...the shell capital of the world....and I was in awe at the shells we found at the beach....so amazing.....a memory I will never forget....and I have shells to prove it!

Paint Party Friday.....Put on your Favorite Dress.....

Hi Everyone....

There is nothing sweeter than the cute dresses from days gone by.....I love the smiles and happiness they bring and every one back in the day wore their best dresses each and every day.....I think it would be pretty amazing to step back in time when women were always decked out .....and men were always charming....

I am on another one of my retro fashion modes and am having so much fun painting these ladies with a nod to days gone by....and special dresses that were simply worn even to the grocery store....what is the last thing you wore to the Grocery Store?

You know you love putting on your favorite dress....so why not wear it....stop saving it for that special occasion when everyday is a special occasion......

Soft Pretzel Buns.....A little recipe card for you....these are so yummy!!!

Hi Everyone....

I was in search of a tasty soft pretzel recipe.....and then found one and modified it to my taste and here it is....I think these will be a huge hit with any of you if you love soft pretzels....these were made into buns....but you can tie these into pretzels too....

WOYWW........making some party stuff for a client....

I am so excited to share some work I just finished up for a client's daughter....It is going to be her third Birthday soon and she has commissioned me to create some fun cupcake and cake toppers and goodie bag stickers....Her daughter loves Tinkerbell and her whole party theme is around Tinkerbell.....so she did a special photo shoot of her daughter in her cute costume and I created these cupcake toppers, big cake topper and some special goodie bag stickers for her big party....

I have been working on stuff for every single one of her parties...how super sweet is that.....

Thought I would share these since I am thrilled with the way they turned out.

I am wishing you and your Moms a Happy Mother's Day.....

I remember the day I found out I was expecting our first baby..... I was over the moon with Happiness and Joy....it was as though everything else didn't matter anymore....Instantly my heart started growing bigger each day before we even met...then you were born and came into our lives and the joy that you brought filled my heart and still fills my heart each and every day....I finally knew my calling in life.....to be a Mom.....and it is the most important role I have ever took on.....Sure I am not perfect....I make mistakes ....but you love me none the less.....

I am so grateful each and every day to be called Mommy.....to be looked up at .....to be loved so whole heartedly.....it is truly a gift each and every day....I love everything we do together....from our little traditions to our special art days....I will love you always and keep you in my heart where you belong.....there is nothing more special than the love of a Mommy......and the love of a Child.....

I love you my sweet son Cole....you have filled my heart ......

Sweet Saturdays Week 56....Getting ready for a Sweet Mother's Day celebration.....

Hi Everyone....

Happy Sweet Saturday....Firstly I would like to wish all of the Mom's out there a wonderful Mother's Day Weekend...and secondly share this special cake I just made for my Mother's Day BBQ I am hosting today for my Super Sweet Mom and Mother in Law....I baked a lemon poppy seed cake and infused it with more lemon and then whipped up some yummy lemon cream cheese icing.....laced it with some strawberries and voila...a special dessert made with love for my special Mom who is my biggest fan....my biggest critic....my best friend....and my inspiration for being an amazing Mom to our son....

I think its a perfect share for Sweet Saturdays this week!!!

Paint Party Friday.....a nod to Retro fashion

Hi Everyone....I am in shock that it is Friday already....the week sure flew by....but I guess I say that every week...I have been working on a few fashion watercolours that I have used in some of my jewelry photo shoots....I will be working on a whole new series of these pretties and will showcase them here....

I also thought I would show you how I used these paintings in my earring line photos...

I am having way too much fun creating and love being super busy with projects and always take some time late in the evening to work on some stuff without a deadline....keeps the creative juices flowing....
