Does an artist really ever go on a vacation and not create?

There have been times I packed for my vacations and forgot some clothes...but I have never forgotten to bring some art supplies...this past mini-vacation I did pack a bunch of stuff in case I got inspired and this is what I made...and I have been inspired to create some more Halloween inspired art...so here they are!!!

Presenting my Jacks on the boxes!!! and my new spool dolls....

  4. They're the best, Diana. Love how you've made your jack on the box and spool dolls. I grew up in the 40s when times were tough. My mother let us have her used wooden sewing thread spools to play with and sometimes she let us use the spools that still had thread on them. We would line up the spools at spots around the living room rug, pretending they were kids waiting for the school bus. Then we would push a metal ice cube tray (school bus) around the rug picking up the kids to take them to school. We especially liked to play with the threaded spools because the kids had on such colorful outfits. Thanks for the memories, Diana, and thanks for your nice visit to my blog.
