A painting a Day - Day 5 - January 5th 2010 - My submission to Three Muses Challenge this week...Theme "Angels"

Hi Everyone...

I am really enjoying the "Painting a Day Project 2010"...This is the 5th painting for this year!!! I also created an angel on January 2nd you can check out to the left....

The painting for today is inspired by one of my garden sculptures...an angel that reads amid all of my wonderful plants in the summer...a great inspiration since it is very cold here and very snowy right now...

I was very happy when I saw the prompt on Three Muses ....I love love love creating Angels...all sorts of them....

They just make me smile...

Hope you all have your own wonderful Guardian Angel !!!

Have a wonderful day....

Hugs
Diana

P.S. if you want to help me with a list for upcoming paintings...when you leave a comment make a request....I will add it to my list.....

  4. Diane, what a joy to see your beautiful artwork. The first angel was a big surprise because he is grungy and textured and gorgeous and so different to the style that I know. Your second angel is fantastic. Thanks so much for giving us TWO pics for the price of one!!

  14. Just beautiful. Angels are a fitting subject matter for you!

How about a French countryside with fields of lavender?

Or an outside close up of a cafe table with a tier of decadent pastries on it?

  31. Hi Diana,
I actually feel like oak trees have fairies about them more than angels. Surely they have angels as well! Oak trees are amazing. I think they are my favorite, but then again who can have a favorite tree. There are many types of oak trees, many. I think of strength to endure the weathers of time. Rooted in the earth, arms reaching to the heavens, shade for those below, home to many on them, strong enough to be climbed on and so on. An angel would maybe encourage these qualities in life. I gave you the trees qualities over the angel. You ask a good question. Thank you for considering this.
