Illustration Friday "Repair"

Hi Everyone...
I have a special place in my heart for bee keepers and bees...they are amazing little creatures that are so important .....When I was growing up my Dad kept several hives in our forest...he was a wonderful bee keeper....He was so passionate about his bees he would visit them each and every day....Harvesting honey was fun....I will have to hunt down some photos to share with you all....

Today's illustration is Emily , she has been voted the "Top Bee Keeper" in her town. She knows that today she has to do some repairs to the hive....and the only way to calm the bees is to get out her smoker....

Have a wonderful day!!!

oh and Fashion week was awesome...I have a ton of photos I will try to get up here over the weekend....

Hugs
Diana

  3. Wow Diana, this is a fabulous illustration and a wonderful story to match. I think beekeeping is fast becoming a lost art. What with the decline of the honey bees population and the onslaught of killer bees! I am grateful for the beekeepers who continue to keep the art and craft of beekeeping. This is a wonderful acknowledgement of them. I am looking forward to those pictures of you harvesting honey.
