Plums are in full season!

Hi Everyone...

My Mom popped in to visit us and she brought with her a huge basket of the most amazing blue plums...my favorite.....

I immediately started to bake my new recipe for plum tarts topped with my recipe for creme brulle....

They are divine...

Not to mention my Mom was hard at work making one of my favorite childhood recipes....when we were young she made us these plum dumplings....you boil them first then sautee them in butter....add a little sugar and magic!!! they don't look as good as they taste....

yummmmmmmmmmmmmm!!!!
you gotta love childhood memories....
and funny how certain dishes can bring you back to the good old days!!!
Hugs
