Hi Everyone...
Today's illustration is a quickie as I had to finish off a bunch of Wedding invites ....
I took about 5 minutes to draw on the corner of my sketch book and then another 5 to add some vivid watercolour....and I never even had time for it to dry....It is titled...
"Not a worry in the World"A day at the beach...
Hope you have a wonderful night and thanks for popping by and saying hello!
Great work... sometimes those "quickies" can come out amazingly well. I just love the colors and the strawberry on the bathing suit. Nice detail.
ReplyDeleteOh to be a child on the beach again... hope you are well Diana, good to see your still drawing, a lovely interpretation of the theme.
ReplyDeleteHi Diana!

ReplyDeleteReally amazing that it only took 10 minutes! I love her outfit :-)
ReplyDeleteReally nice for a quickie! Hope all is well with you and your family!
ReplyDeleteThat was a 10 minutes quickie? That could have taken me an hour to do it. Naturally I am not a good artist. I had attempted to draw portraits before but I have only managed to complete 3; all as a gift for someone special. Well, they said, "a picture paints a thousand words." : )
ReplyDeleteGreat character, and nice contrast over all. I wish I could work that fast!
ReplyDeleteaww summer.. brings back memories.. this is a beautiful illo!!
ReplyDeleteanyway since we only have 2 seasons in my country, you can only choose to like summer or rainy season. both have good and bad points coz heat can be so extreme here that in europe its considered a heatwave but its perfectly normal here and rains can be stormy but as the floods subside, everything goes back to normal.
delightful, everyone illustrated 'worrying' i like the fact that you illustrated not worrying!
ReplyDeleteHappy place to NOT worry! Too bad gas prices are so high that we aren't going to be driving to the beach this year! Great illo :)
ReplyDeleteThis is perfect, Diana! And to do such a lovely illustration so fast, that's wonderful.
ReplyDeleteA very lovely image too, a place to forget all one's worries...
Free day, Free worries, great work, Diana.
ReplyDeleteVery nice and so quick! I think the beach is always the best place for all your cares to slip away... ;-)
ReplyDeletenice work. I guess that is where the phrase "life is a beach comes from" no worries and all the beauty in the world
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice one ont this theme. I can imagine you wish you could be that girl agian for a while after all you have been through.........
ReplyDeleteTake care!
Marianne
Oooo, I love the vibrancy of the colors ... and the reminder of times when worry was not a word in my vocabulary! Really beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWhat about the crab people, who crawl out of the sea at night and kick over sandcastles?
ReplyDeleteboth of these are wonderful diana, i love 'em!
