Inspire Me Thursday "Action Painting" , Yummy Sketch of the Day, and another little black dress....

Hi Everyone...

This week's theme on Inspire Me Thursday is "action painting" “style of painting in which paint is spontaneously dribbled, splashed or smeared onto the canvas, rather than being carefully applied.”

In 1997 I did this painting when I was in my "introspective period" It seems to fit the theme this week.....

The "Yummy Sketch of the Day" is a refreshing Panna Cotta with a lemon sauce and fresh fruit.
I added a link to a recipe for this dessert.

I had to add a new Cute Little Black Dress too...
Hope you have a wonderful night....I am heading out with some old friends for a nice dinner and some great laughs....then hope to catch the late versions of Survivor and Celebrity Apprentice...
Have a wonderful day/night!

Cheers,
Diana

  7. Diana, that is a very lovely piece. I like that very much. I have never done an action painting and always wanted to do one. That looks marvelous.

I never had a black dress but a few years ago I had 35 black suits (pants/skirts)in slightly different styles and fabrics. What was I thinking? :-)

Your action painting has tremendous energy! I like the ladders that seem to be flying around. I also love the little black dress... it makes me want to go shopping for one:>

  10. Love the yummers and the black dress, but I have to say the painting blows me away! It's very trapeze artist meets the canvas...or whatever I'm trying to say! I love the action and the colors. Do more!!

  13. ...oh, and the little black dress. What a neat idea you have in your blog! Your action picture is certainly full of action. I have to admit it like ladders free falling (I'm afraid of them)and red representing blood. BUT this is all okay...because it proves it definately ART! What movement! Very good!
