This week's theme on Inspire Me Thursday is "action painting" “style of painting in which paint is spontaneously dribbled, splashed or smeared onto the canvas, rather than being carefully applied.”
In 1997 I did this painting when I was in my "introspective period" It seems to fit the theme this week.....
The "Yummy Sketch of the Day" is a refreshing Panna Cotta with a lemon sauce and fresh fruit.

Diana, that is a very lovely piece. I like that very much. I have never done an action painting and always wanted to do one. That looks marvelous.
ReplyDeleteI never had a black dress but a few years ago I had 35 black suits (pants/skirts)in slightly different styles and fabrics. What was I thinking? :-)
Great colors and I love your yummies also very much !
ReplyDeleteYour action painting has tremendous energy! I like the ladders that seem to be flying around. I also love the little black dress... it makes me want to go shopping for one:>
ReplyDeleteLove the yummers and the black dress, but I have to say the painting blows me away! It's very trapeze artist meets the canvas...or whatever I'm trying to say! I love the action and the colors. Do more!!
ReplyDeleteI am so intrigued by your action painting. Thank you for leaving a lovely comment on my blog because I am thrilled to have found you and your marvelous artwork.
ReplyDeleteHi Diana! Thanks for the kind words on my blog and Monday Artday! Your work is adorable, I love the little black dress and yummy dessert theme you have going on. I also discovered "inspire me Thursday" on your blog and submitted my first post. Thanks!
ReplyDelete...oh, and the little black dress. What a neat idea you have in your blog! Your action picture is certainly full of action. I have to admit it like ladders free falling (I'm afraid of them)and red representing blood. BUT this is all okay...because it proves it definately ART! What movement! Very good!
ReplyDeleteI like the colors in your action painting, and the swirling....
ReplyDeleteI love your action painting, that must be how Dorothy felt as she left Kansas for the Land of Oz
