Happy Friday Everyone.....I am sharing this bird piece with you all even though I am not too thrilled with the way it turned out....I will have to work on a new one till I get it right....I am sharing this with all of my friends over at PPF this week and can't wait to see what everyone has been working on!!!
I am having a wonderful week....this year is going to be all about me....One night over dinner we were all talking and I said it out loud....this year will be all about me....It was quite funny ....the first thing my husband said to me was...."Isn't every year about you" lol......
I am going to take a lot of time to focus on me and the things that I love....I find sometimes as Moms and Wives we get too wrapped up in taking care of everyone else...so I am deciding to take care of me for a change.....

Happy New Year Diana! I think your bird is really cute! I know what you mean about this year being about Me. It is so hard sometime to take the time for yourself. Sometimes you just have to go for it. Even if the people in your life don't like it so much.
ReplyDeleteI know I would get the same reaction if I made a statement like that... I am doing the sneaky about me thing... if they don't know about it they won't grumble and groan... fingers crossed it works... this is a lovely piece but I am sure you will make it into something beyond special!!!
ReplyDeleteI like your classy little bird! I think I know what you mean too, I'm trying myself to have more all about me moments- I've learned that when it's not about me at all I'm not the happiest me that I can be. Came over from PPF. :)
ReplyDeletei laughed as i imagined you saying that-wonderful! i'm not a mum and am lucky that other than working full time and making sure i spend quality time with my fur babies, i have time to spend on art but still things seem to get in the way so i can imagine that having a little person's needs to attend to would distract you even more! i love this wee bird and am not sure what you don't like about it!

ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!! I love your new years resolution! I know exactly what you mean though! This year I'm kinda thinking that way too. My youngest starts full time school and so I'm thinking it's time that I did something new (besides our business). So I'm going to do some art study, I'm hoping to do cartooning or illustration to help with my art! I really like your bird!!! Love that little hat!!!

I love your little bluebird & the shadow effect you used :) I am totally with you... if I don't make time for myself through the day, I feel very drained. Sometimes I have to get up very early, or stay up late to get time in for myself, but it's always worth it :)
