It just seems fitting to create Angels on a Sunday....

I have been working away on my line of Sweet Guardians.....and today I am featuring a finished piece....above....She is a Sweet Guardian who loves feline friends.....I think she is sweet to look after cat lovers and cats.....

Did you know that a Guardian Angel is a special Angel that is assigned to guard a special person....

and do you know that people have believed in Guardian Angels for as long as time itself...wow!!!

I know I always feel like there is someone watching over us....our special Guardian Angels.....



I am submitting this sketch and final piece to my Sunday Sketches this week...She just makes me smile....

Illustration Friday...."Surrender" free download for Valentine's Day!!!!

Joey knew that he had to do something special for his Love Marie...so he decided to hire an Illustrator and get her to design some Valentine's that he could use....and this is what I came up with.....

I love bees and I love honey...so I hope Marie does too.....

Some inspiration from a friend and I ended up baking up these...yummy!

I was blog surfing this afternoon and spotted Silke with her yummy bread baking...and then I went to the kitchen to find some bread supplies...all I had was what I used to create these and they turned out even better than I imagined...

Initially I was going to make a loaf...but then I thought it would be fun to make some buns and tie them in knots....so I did....

one final proofing.....and then some egg wash and sesame seeds and into the oven.....

and oh my!!! the scent was so so good.....but the taste was amazing....nothing like homemade bread baking and sampling!!!!

Valentine's Day Surface Designs....Gift wrap and a mini card sample....

Many of you that know me know that I love surface designing....and I love looking at the amazing things Designers create that make it to market....here I had some fun designing some love inspired gift wrap samples........I know I would love to get something wrapped in these Lady bugs.......

Paris Dragonflies and hopping bunnies...and wooden pieces...oh my!

I love cute little embellishments on gifts and cards....so I was creating some new Paris Dragonfly tags and some cute little bunnies that can be added to any little gift of card....I am a paper junkie and I collect all kinds of amazing thick papers...collaged, painted, all dressed up...they make for some perfect tags and cutouts...

I am also going to create some more silly wooden boxes and things....here are my pieces....wonder what I will create with these....

how about these pieces to the left....I have a vision for them....can you guess what they might turn out to be?

Some Special Stuff I worked on for my Cousins!!!

My Cousin Greg and his new Bride Alanah just got married a while back and moved into their new home....


I wanted to make them something special for the house warming so I painted this custom watercolour piece and created a special Angel for them too....

I got them all framed up and they seemed to love these pieces....

We feel very blessed to have such an amazing family to share our lives with!!!!

Sunday Morning Sketches....

I have been doing a lot of Valentine's Day Doodles....so today I created this cute little BEAR that is full of love and sweetness....He is a Bear dressed up like a love bug!!!

Cole came up with this idea...he is such an inspiration to me with his fun ideas....and I love what he comes up with....

What is even more fun is seeing his reaction when I draw his ideas...and see his eyes pop!!! he makes everyday even more fun and I love that he loves to help Mommy come up with ideas....

Custom Watercolour - A sports lover is born.....

This is a custom watercolour I completed for a client last week....The Baby is turning one and is already a big sports fan of Basketball...I am having so much fun with these custom paintings....and I love the stories behind them too...


I would have never every imagined that I would love creating watercolour paintings....but I love it...one of my favorite mediums these days to work in....


I use liquid watercolours ....I find the colours are so clear and crisp....versus the solid stuff....

I also am a big fan of the Montval Watercolour paper from France...it has such a great feel to it and the weight is perfect....140 lb.....


Well I am doing some fun projects that I will be showing over the next week....and I have to start some free downloads for Valentine's day so be sure to pop back for those....

Illustration Friday....meet "Dusty"

Hi Everyone...meet "Dusty"....She loved Ballet and everyday she would head to the dance Studio to learn more ballet....She got the nickname "Dusty" because she was always on the floor and her pink tights always ended up being dusty from the hardwood....Everyone called her Dusty...but her dancing was anything but!

A bit of a stretch this week....but the theme is a bit "Dusty"

I think Dusty will be heading to my shop as a new art print for a cute girl's room....

I loved taking ballet when I was a wee little girl...it was so much fun....

I kind of wished I would have stuck with it....instead of letting my ballet shoes get "dusty"

The ballet shoes were my favorite....

Cute as a Cupcake Treasury....how sweet!

I got a lovely note from the Shop Owner over at Miniature Menu She creates some really cool miniatures...you have to see them to believe them.....

She curated this cute collection titled...."Cute as a Cupcake" and you know how I love my cupcakes...so I had to share it with you....She was sweet enough to include one of my cupcake pieces...my Strawberry Dream Cupcake Print....

Who says two artists can't work on something together?

The best days in the world are the days I spend with our son painting and creating...I think it is so much fun to see what he comes up with .....As many of you know...I love love love Paris....and one day while I was working away...Cole wanted to draw something for Mommy and Daddy....so I gave him some paper and some crayons...and to my surprise he drew this scene....and my heart melted....

ok firstly...you have to know that I have a super cool collection of Eiffel Towers...and Cole knows all about Paris....so when he drew this and said..."this is me, you and Daddy in Paris" I fell over....how cute!!!!

Today Cole and I embarked on some new art....we are now working on watercolours together...he does all of the main colours in the background and I add water droplets after the piece is dry to see what happens...and here is the unveiling of our first piece.....

How does something develop in your head and end up as a product....Ideas take flight....

The piece above is the final design....and below is the initial sketch....and then the coloured piece....After the colour is added and textures I decided that this would be fun as a cute Pug Valentine...so that is what it turned into.....

So fun to get a silly idea in your head....create an initial sketch and then finally create a product .....
